Let's see, steel top under wood and bottom access. Flip the coffee table on it's side and you have cover and armaments!

Who recommends 1/4" boiler plate.
A little sanding and a few coats of clear coat, would be a fine driver. Used to have '51 ford looked almost good as this one.

For thirty some years beginning in the 1950's a loose group of 25 or so African-American artists were painting Florida landscapes out of the trunks of their cars, against a tree or just about anywhere using acrylic paints on wallboard then framing them with painted crown moulding.
They would sell these door to door to businesses and homes for $25-35. I'd see them occasionally on the coast roads and being young and dumb had no clue what I saw.
They're beautiful and now sell for thousands.
