No, I'm not going to buy a Power Ball ticket for last night's lotto, because nobody is going to win. I knew, I mean know...
It's all so confusing.
It is, was, might be or have/has been Beer Time!
Today's selection is far too good for me to buy except when I check out brew pubs with friends, so someone gave it to me for Christmas. It is Karbach Bourbon Barrel Hellfighter Imperial Porter Ale. I need to buy snifters to have available for this level of beer.
When I popped the crown a bit of beer foamed out and got on my left index finger. I licked it off and sweet vanilla, malty chocolate, and coffee flavors were apparent from licking my finger. This is fine sipping beer. I really do not detect an overpowering bourbon flavor to this bourbon barrel aged beer.
This is truly the brewing art at its finest. A single 24 ounce bomber bottle of this sells for the price of a 12-pack of Bud, so if you are looking to have something cold and light to wash down the nachos buy the mass produced product of your choice, or whatever is on sale.
I'm going to go sip on and savor some good brew.

PS: Good news. Goody Goody Liquor (A giant Dallas chain from my understanding) opened a big new store across the street from the big Baptist church close to my home. There was a licensing holdup for some reason. Ghee, I wonder why? Anyway, I'll check out their beer selection next week.
