Annoyed at thread drift

I am really considering that Rossi .357 lever action for my next purchase. I know I would enjoy it more than an AR or AK.
Those were the same choices my husband gave me, when I asked for a rifle bigger than my .22LR, that would be affordable to plink with. An AR or a pistol caliber lever gun. The lever is more fun than I imagined it would be. :D

Posted this in the hockey thread. Just couldn't resist the drift though.

LET'S GO BLUES!!!

Just pretend this is hwitty.

Nice day in the desert with temps in the mid 90's wind blowing pretty stiff all day and still blowing. By Saturday the high will be mid 70's gotta love it. But summer is coming.

Hey if they have a big earth quake in California maybe I'll have some ocean front property here in the desert. Had some small quakes in north west part of AZ today but we didn't feel them down here in the desert, maybe a precursor of things to come.

Good morning all. It's Friday! I slept all the way through to 4:05 when the alarm on my sorta-smartphone went off. Time for me to head out scouting for emguin hordes, aliens, other things that may endanger mankind, and lost kittens. Got to go, I lose the darkness early these days. Each of you have a great day!

This is what they said he has. It doesn't look very promising. It's already in his lungs & lymph nodes They have a 12yo son. They meet with a doctor today.
Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

By Dr Ananya Mandal, MD

Metastatic renal cell cancer is cancer that has spread beyond its site of origin in the kidney, to other organs in the body. The cancer first invades the blood vessels or fatty tissue surrounding the kidneys, before affecting nearby lymph nodes and eventually involving lymph nodes in other areas and organs such as the bones, lungs or brain.

In renal cell carcinoma, the risk of metastasis is high since most cases are not detected during the early stages, when the tumor is still small and confined to the kidney. Clinical symptoms of the disease are generally mild and nondescript until the cancer progresses and reaches a more advanced stage. Around 20% to 25% of patients diagnosed have already reached the metastatic phase of disease.

Once renal cell carcinoma has spread to other organs in the body, a patient's 5-year survival estimate drops to 5-15%. The chances of survival may improve if any detectable cancer is removed from the kidney and any other affected organs, but generally, metastatic renal cell carcinoma cannot be cured and treatment is focused on slowing disease progression and alleviating symptoms.

In many other forms of cancer, patients respond to chemotherapy, but renal cell carcinoma is one of the few cancers that has a poor response to this treatment. The main treatment approaches used instead are described below:

· Partial or complete nephrectomy, which is surgical removal of the kidney

· Embolization, which is the deliberate occlusion of a blood vessel to prevent blood flow to a tumor

· Targeted therapies such as sunitinib and pazopanib

· Radiotherapy

· Immunotherapy

Nephrectomy and interleukin-2 therapy is a standard approach in metastatic renal cell carcinoma. The patient response rate is low but a small percentage of people benefit.

Seems appropriate today...

I lose track. Which drifter is from St. Augustine? My folks go down for vacation every year and rent a condo. Yesterday, mom managed to herniate herself and required surgery while on vacation there. She is doing well and will probably be back at the condo today. Then back home to Missouri this weekend. Must be the water.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

I am from beautiful St. Augustine, since 2004 anyway.

Good Morning:

It's been a chilly couple of days with the high yesterday of only 62 and the lows in the very low 40's. Right now it's only 42 degrees.

The old wives tales would say this is Blackberry Winter. When Blackberrys start blooming here in Middle Tennessee.

Yum, Blackberry Jam, Blackberry Jelly, Blackberry Tarts, Blackberry Cobbler and yes another Tennessee tradition Homemade Blackberry Wine. Germantown Tennessee (west Tn. Near Memphis near the home of Mr Lee Barner and Justin Timberlake) ithat area is well known for their Homemade Blackberry Wine. As East Tennessee is known for their Moonshine. Homemade Blackberry Wine is a traditional Tennessee Christmas Gift!

There's nothing like Warm Fresh Homemade Tennessee Blackberry Cobbler with a Big Ole scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream! Even warm Blackberry preserve over vanilla Ice Cream for you Health Nuts???

So enjoy your day! Be safe, Stay well and Wish for Fresh Blackberry Cobbler in just a few months! And Don't forget the Vanilla Ice Cream!

Or just take a BIG swig of Blackberry Wine followed by a lil swig of real vanilla extract and call it desert? Talking about a MAJOR Hangover! Ouch!

My wife has renal cell carcinoma. She is a rare case of catching it early, however, because they found it during all her testing for a kidney transplant. So far, they have only found one suspect lymph node so they are confident it is contained at this point. They are performing a nephrectomy on Wednesday.

So sorry to hear this sad news. We will certainly be praying for your family. Keep us posted.

Why Does...

camouflage appliances and things cost more ? 😵

Why do you want to make things easier to lose ?? 😏
Why do you want to have a bright color in a camouflage pattern ?
Why do you want camouflage sleeves on your shirts and the rest of the shirt solid ?
Do animals not think you are visible if they can't see your arms or armpits? 😝
Why do you want your truck to be partially camouflage? 😕
Why would you want your truck to be all camouflage? Is it important that you cannot find your truck at the end of the day? 😮
Does camouflage seat covers hide the dirt and mud better?
Why does the military discover a new camouflage pattern every other year ?
Why does the Navy have bluish camouflage patterns on the sailor suits? Can't anybody see the ships? If you fell overboard or your ship sank, wouldn't you want to be more visible for rescue?
Why don't politicians, Flo, Hollywood types in advertising, government officials, and others wear camouflage so we do not see them? 😖

Your post caught up with my head! Great minds think alike, well at least 1/2 of a pair is great, and it isn't my half ! 😉
That is exactly why I bought the Rossi 92 ! I sold my AR, did not really care for it, made a nice profit, as the AR craze was taking off. Gunsmith talked me into the 16" barrel, which I do not regret, maybe need to try a long barrel now. Back then it was 16" or 20".
Makes a nice big brother to the 39A! The 336 has been unhappy as it sits in the dark now! Too much noise, maybe consider reloading some reduced loads for it? The action on the 336 is so smooth it is like glass, hummmm......back to thinking about your Steve'sguns suggestion, or maybe just wearing the 92 action smooth, lots of advantages to that approach! 😉

When we were dating, wifey lost a few articles of clothing? Unmentionables, they used to call them? I would always find them when cleaning out a Vehicle before I sold it! Strange?

Now, thinking back on it, I should have just left them in there? And let the new owners wife/girlfriend find them. Wonder how he would have explained that?

Seems to be going around.....Lost clothes.
This song sums it up best.
