I remember when these came out when I was a kid!
Everybody had to have one, and you were a nobody on the playground if you didn't! ;)

That's the one that replaced the Pennsy Pinkie balls that were down here... same size with some heft.
One guy on each end of the block with one in the middle to intercept or grab the errant bounce before it took out a neighbor's window, or made things interesting when slammed into the open underside of a roof structure.

Wifey is home with me for the evening so I can take her for a doctor appointment tomorrow. We should get the pathology report tomorrow. She will spend tomorrow night at my folks to finish up her Tuesday morning dialysis appointment. Then she is home for good Tuesday after her dialysis. She has made some good progress this weekend. Still has some pain, which is to be expected, but she refuses pain meds because the pain meds bother her more than the pain.

Thanks again for your prayers and kind thoughts.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

I had a teacher that moved her big metal two door cabinet away from the wall and moved my desk behind it so that the only person I could see was her. The only person who could see me was her. Apparently, she was tired of me entertaining my classmates. No cap. No stool. No circle. Just solitary confinement.

Nobody knows...the trouble I've seen...nobody knows my sorrow...

Just pretend this is hwitty.

I'm also a big fan of any Auto Racing. Loved the Indy cars back in the 60's. I watch it from time, now days! The STP turbine car was always cool!

For about a year or two my buddies and I went to a number of road courses to watch. Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, Indy...I always preferred the road courses to the ovals.

We lived at the top of a hill and could see the road about 1/4 mile below us. Couldn't tell you how many of these I lost trying to hit one to the road with a baseball bat.

In second grade the teacher would just put me in the paper storage closet by myself, that was my solitary! :D

Guess I should mention why I 'stayed' in trouble. We moved a lot, so was always the new kid. I started school (1rst grade no kindergarten back then) at 5. Somehow I was jumped several grades, so was out of synch in multiple ways. My Mom claimed advanced, my Dad said ( can't say that here )! Have always been big ! At the time I was in school everyone who was left handed was forced to be right handed. Multiple ways, some not so nice, were used to force right hand use. Did not work with me, and as the academic side was way to easy, no one could use grades against me! So a contest of wills! Became a game with me. Times were different in the very early 50's. No PC, just a contest of wills!
And after 2 years it was time to go to another state, another part of the country, where it started again?
My Dads last words to me was a question " Did all of the moving around make things better or worse?" Answer was "Made for a lot of learning independence which was good". So stubbornness, dislike for bullies, and tweaking rules is an acquired trait.
Interestingly enough, a childhood friend when we were in Maryland was from Staten Island. He was a new kid also, only there for the same short time and though much smaller, had a deviousness that I think is learned in NYC. We made a pretty good team against the others! Circumstances moved both families away and never heard from him again! Hope his memories of our time together are remembered with the same respect as I have.

Jeeeeeeez..................

I need some time away.
Truly Best of Wishes for Everyone on here.
I consider you All Friends.

It has nothing to do with any of you folks posts BTW.

Best Regards,
Chuck
Hope All is well Chuck. Let us know if there is anything that we can do.

I was a good kid in school, MOST of the time. But one incident will always be remembered. Junior High, dwebby boy that sat behind me in study hall was always trying to snap my bra straps, one day I got fed up with the snot nose brat grabbed him in the hallway and gave him a snuggie. Man teacher saw it and sent me to the principal's office. Principal was an iron fisted old gal and I had heard horror stories about her.
Guess what she said? "Good for you! If he bothers you again do the same thing"

It's all good friends.
Just received a PM from a drifter who
didn't approve of one of my posts. Seems he is the self appointed
censor of the drift. Just struck me wrong i guess.
I decided he is not worth it.
This seems to be his M.O. as he has also drove others away with
his PM's if he doesn't like your humor or post, or you have
"in his opinion" been posting too many pictures.

Life goes on but he needs to let the moderators do the dinging.
I don't know him and he does not know me but he comes off
as a sad little man with not much to do except chastise others
when their posts do not meet his guidelines of acceptance.

I've made too many friends thru this site to be driven away
by this guy.

Nuff said.

Hope you all had a glorious weekend and enjoy the week ahead.

Best, Chuck

Well, I continue to tweak my CZ "collection." I traded my CZ75B Compact 9mm for a CZ2075 RAMI 9mm. So now I have the CZ83 .380, the subcompact RAMI 9mm, the compact P-019mm, and the definitely NOT compact CZ97 .45acp. Amazingly, I have managed to accumulate all these CZ's without acquiring the original CZ75B full size 9mm that got this whole thing started in the first place. I guess this means I am going to start stashing my pennies away again. I have got to "fix" this problem.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

I like you even though I just found out you might be what is oozing out of those manholes on the big street. Does PM have something to do with Pretty Kitty?

Good on ya' there Pawngal.
Can't stand a Bully.
Just to clarify, is a snuggie the same as a wedgie?

No sir,
It had to do with a "character" in a movie The Big Lebowski.
Seems he did not approve of my using this "characters" name
in my post because it was Jesus. I thought it was innocuous
enough but he was offended. Guess he thought i was mocking
the Lord. Which of course i was not. It's a movie scene !!!
I apologized to him, then deleted my post.

I was friendly and used to think he was a friend.
Next time i will not be nice but will tell him to go
pound sand.

Over and done with now. Not important to worry about.
Let's move on !!!

Chuck
