Annoyed at thread drift

Sunday evening in Iowa Amish country.
Temperatures are mild, little wind, low humidity, windows are open!
Coming up on 11PM, and the Amish teenagers are having a ball returning home, or bringing their paramours home. Every 5-10 minutes another cart or buggy goes clip clopping 🐎 by on the paved highway about 75 yds. away ! Boy does sound carry well on a quiet night! 🙉 At least no buggy drag racing, SO FAR ? And no loud music !

English kids it's Saturday night, Amish kids it's Sunday night ! 🌠

Hi.

First off, I want to apologize because you have to tilt your head to the right to view this image. I tried in both Photobucket and in Apple Photos to rotate the image with no success.

With all of the food talk on this thread, I thought I would post an image that I took a few years ago. This is an image of the McDonalds in Delano, California, the town that I grew up in.

I was mystified at first, but then remembered that McDonalds, after many quarters of slumping sales, had decided to expand their menu.

I guess it all makes sense now.

Regards.

Bob

Strange signage & Mickey D's seem to go hand in hand...

Good morning drifters it's down to 82 from 120 on my thermometer yesterday. I've come to the conclusion that the temps I read on my cell phone are a joke. Yesterday it said 111 and, trust me, it was way beyond that all you had to do was step outside and you knew it. I was talking with the lady at the little store down the road and we compared our cell phone temps and they were 3 degrees different, now how can that be? Oh well I'll just stick to what my thermometer says.

It was so hot yesterday the Road Runners couldn't even slow down without burning their little feet. The lizards have started wearing sandals and the buzzards just drop down and get a bite to go.

Wife was up and down all night. We will consider staying here another night to straighten up and get back on schedule. Much rain expected on East Coast. Geoff Who notes he got the cable straight in time to see Jennifer Smith in a babydoll dress teaching tire safety on Fox news.

Good morning drift! Lot of drift since yesterday morning! Going to be a busy morning and I have to go by the bank as well. Tropical storm in the Gulf and I need to get my supplies up to date, after all the flooding we have had we really don't need a hurricane but I need to be ready just in case. Drift on.

Good morning all,,,,Happy Monday! Looks like a nice day starting this morning! ;) Hope all you folks out Texas way are drying out!
Still with the granddaughter and we have to go out soon and check on the turtle! :D Fresh water and food every day!
At 5 years old she takes this responsibility very serious!
Something I never knew about Box Turtles, if you remove it from its area and let's say we take it ten miles away, it will spend the rest of its life trying to find and return back to its original area. They never stray to far from where they are born?
Well we will be taking her to school and then heading for home, big week at the home front, the contractor will finally be coming to work on the deck! :D Hooray maybe can can finally get this done and over with! :D
Well we have to get moving, check back later,,,,Drift on! :D

Texas skies! At last. Light north breeze dropping the humidity, and a low circulating in the Gulf. An early tropical storm, but not unheard of. Maybe a chance to catch a few trout later, but these 'skeeters are HONGRY.
I'm always the last guy to get bit, they just don't seem to go after me like most people. Wonder why.....
