We're Home

We had a Great mini vacation. Kings Island is a Great amusement park.

We did the amusement park one day and the water park the next day.

I rode a few little rides. But the Banshee and Diamondback I passed on. I have a GREAT fear of my leg falling off in mid air. Especially when those types of rides that are open footing and your legs dangling. And I'm not sure how my prosthetic leg would hold up to a 50-60 foot drop? This new leg was only $14,200 and only a few months old. And I didn't want to chance it.

Grandson had a great time. We also paid for the express pass. It was $79 each, extra on top of the regular admission. I didn't want to use my handicap status to break line. But still felt kind'a bad using the Express Pass. Some of the lines were 1-2 hrs or more wait, without the express pass, but with the pass they ushered us straight through to the front. But like wifey said, everyone there has the option to buy the pass. I still felt bad for the people that might'a not been able to afford it. And I really didn't benefit from the pass. The little stuff I rode, there wasn't much of a line. But grandson used his on all the BIG Rides. Especially the giant roller coasters.

Everyone we delt with in Ohio was super nice. But, everything was allot higher priced than here in Nashville? Gas, stores, restaurants everything. The first thing we did after unpacking, was go to Krogers. And it seemed it was about 15-20% higher on everything? But we saved money by buying our water, sodas, snack and breakfast stuff, for our motel room. So I can't complain.

We had a few afternoon showers. Nothing major. We'd just ducked into the arcade or get a glass of unsweetened tea, grandson would get a smoothie and we'd al, get a lil snack at one of their restaurants. Then the rain would go as fast as it came. Kentucky and Northern Tennessee down to Nashville got allot of bad weather. But we basically missed it both coming and going.

We really didn't buy many souvenirs. Grandson got a couple of Tee Shirts. And we had to get Theo, a neon stuffed animal. The dog LOVES his stuffies (spoiled)! And He was so happy to see us, when we got home.

Wifey got grumpy the last couple of days. Must have been her time of the week? I think she's going through the change? Guessing she's changing into a Mean Mermaid? LOL But she wasn't too bad, just a lil grumpy?

So it's nice to be home. Tonight, I'm looking forward to sleeping on my own bed. Although we stayed in a Hampton Inn. And it was super nice, but there's No Place Like Home or on our own sheets and mattresses! Even though we carried our own pillows and some covers.

But it's bad. To get home and have to rest after a vacation! I thought that's what a vacation was for??? I guess a sign of getting OLD!

After the movie.....
Nothing beats a pizza and beer!;)
Oh I know I said that about the hot dogs too! :rolleyes The granddaughter ask for the pizza and I'm turning down a nice filet for the pizza party!

I just got my Leek back from Kershaw. I am glad Kershaw honors their warranty...because my last 4 lightly used USA made Kershaws have all broken...which is why I now use Spyderco and GEC as my EDC knives. I'm a slow learner.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

Glad to hear that, because my new 4 month old Kershaw knife broke in two last week!! I Just got all the details to send it back yesterday. I used to think very highly of this brand but I'm reading more and more poor reviews as of late.

If someone likes ketchup on their dogs that's OK. Put some cat hair and toenail clippings on there too, there is no accounting or no need for excuses regarding personal taste.

I don't know why someone that enjoys ketchup on a hotdog would also enjoy toe nail clippings & cat hair on their dog(personal experience by that poster?)but maybe that poster would also enjoy other cat products on a hotdog, which I won't mention here to avoid another ding.

I do not see the reason for the shot, nor do I understand how you could misinterpret what you read.
Reckon that's on you.

Wish you a good night.

vonn,
100 degrees in the shade at my shop at 5 PM. Going to be a long hot summer. Have too many things to say that I can't post so everyone have a good safe weekend and pray for our country.

Had a rain storm blow through a little while ago and dropped the temp by 10 degrees! ;)
It's now somewhat decent outside, pool time a little later!
