Another reason why burn rates.....

The 16gr load of Bullseye in my shotgun is a light 1145 +/- fps
light trap load that may have a slight dish in the crimp area
depending on the hull and wad used.

Some hulls do better with the higher amount of powder that
gets around 1200 fps and the crimps turn out perfect........
with different wads being tested.

I prefer the solid "Uni" hulls, w209 and the Federal 12so wad...
but have used lots of others when supplies run out.

My max load is with "My" Mec 23 bushing with Bullseye powder.
I can't remember if it is stock or has been "Polished" a little.
The copper ring helps keeping the mess down with the small flakes
when placed under the powder bottle.

Good shooting.

There are several threads at

Shotgunworld - reloading

covering the use of Bullseye in 12 ga. loads.
It can be used in 7/8 oz loads as well which is what I am interested in.
This is from a 1992 Hercules manual and shows 2 of the powders mentioned.

Rather than reiterate all the other stuff I have said about burn rates, I'll refer ya'll to the previous thread started by the esteemed OP:
