I brought a SKS home from Viet Nam in 1969 - battlefield pickup. The serial number on the receiver is xxx4938. The same numbers are stamped on the bolt and bolt carrier. The receiver is also marked with a triangle surrounding what appear to be two smaller triangles followed by three Chinese language characters. The stock appears to have several inches cut from the butt as it is extremely short.
Can anyone provide an approximate date of manufacture and current value.?
