any body have any pics of a 45xx series or a 10xx series guns or the like in black or completely polished(chrome)?
im thinking about polishing mine or maybe even getting it sprayed black, but i would like to know how they look.

4586TSW with Melonite treatment to slide and frame.

Kurt - Who did the refinishing?? S&W?? Did you have them stamp the slide with the Smith & Wesson name to replace the "Tactical" etching??

When I purchased these at the turn of the century, I immediately sent them back to the PC with instructions to get rid of the billboards and then roll mark the traditional logo. They may no longer have the tools (or the desire) to still do so. You will have to check with them.
The factory did the black anodizing on the aluminum frame of the 4553TSW. The pricing should be listed on their website.
The Melonite treatment was done thru Drake's Gun Works I'm not sure which company actually does the work, but there aren't too many doing it. Prices are reasonable if you only send the bare slide or frame.
