Anyone seen the machine railed 4566 or 4006 yet?

I was told by a sales rep from a police supply store that Smith was going to start producing all the tactical series smiths with the picatinny machined rail. Has anyone seen these available to the public yet?

I will most likely order one through our police supply rtore here, but was curious if any one has seen these out in stores yet?

I have seen pics of the new 4566TSW with the machined rail. Looks real nice and I would love to have one. I don't know if the a 4506TSW is going to be made. If so it is news to me. A 4563TSW with machined rail would be nice to see as well.

I have heard talk around here that the TSW line was going to be sold in retail stores again. For now it is LE orders or large orders only.

I've seen a 4006TSW with the integrated rail twice at a gun show...same dealer, same gun both times and it didn't sell at $750 NIB.

I believe it was Dale's Guns or something like that...they were at the Nation's Gun Show in Dulles, VA last month. I didn't look too closely at the 4006 other than noticing that it did have the integrated rail and I think the price was about $750.

For either one if it has a TSW after the number it was set up to at least have provisions for the rail. There are tsw series on gunbroker and gunsamerica every now and then. If you see two small black dots on the frame right below the barrel it didn't have the rail installed otherwise it will be there.

I would LOVE it if Smith made this version for public consumption.

Yep, I think there would be another 4566TSW in my future if the machined rail version becomes a standard catalog item. The 45xx series being my favorite of the the 3rd gens.

I've seen the same 2 guns from that dealer in the Tidewater, VA area and each time they weren't selling mostly becasue I felt his price was way to high. However, last time I saw them was probably last year. I may consider purchasing one at that price if it was a 4566 but not too interested in a 750.00 40cal.

I thought someone on this forum first introduced the 4006 with that rail as a California Highway Patrol gun to replace their older 4006's, I also remember someone was trying to get orders (with no success) for some 4566's with the same configuration.
