Well I never met a steel gun I didn't like, can't pass up a deal on powder or primers and would rather spend the morning at the gun club than at the beach. Maybe not a nut but certainly addicted.

Just like 'extreme' gun nuts......

.....that misuse guns as a power extender there are extreme gun grabbers that won't give an inch in saying the we are all gun toting morons that are encourage gun deaths in the US.

I always call out people who assume that just because they say I'm a dangerous lunatic just like all gun owners, everybody believes them. I think I do a pretty good job of presenting the other side and making hash of the idiots that use lame arguments to make their point. Name calling, presenting generalizations like gospel and attacking our 'manhood' are just a few of their common tactics.

To the extremists I'm talking about 'gun owner' is tantamount to be a saboteur in an otherise great country. The world would be a better place if we got rid of those 'gun owners'.

"Gun nut" is the politest thing I've been called by hoplophobic members of my extended family in the UK.

If my holdings appeared there, they wouldn't lock me up and throw away the key, they would weld up the door.

The fewer people who know I own guns, much less that I carry one concealed, the better I like it. But this is Kentucky, and I've never been able to afford to own more than a few guns at a time; so I don't worry about the "nut" label.

A neighbor and close friend of mine, a woman my age, hates guns with a passion. My sister is afraid of them. Both know I carry, and accept it as my right. I can't ask for more than that, and don't.

If I don't advertise, I'm not asked to debate the question. So I don't, and I'm not.

The few I know don't think of us as nuts. Those that do-I don't give a flying hoot what they think-they get all their neus off of the internet because its as true as brian williams was.

My extended NYC family thinks my owning and shooting firearms and reloading are inexplicable. They don't know anyone else with these hobbies and believe what the media tells them, that these things are evil.
On the other hand, my brother will dress all in spandex and ride a bicycle a hundred miles in a day. I think HE'S crazy..
