Are you a "gun slut"?

So; when riding with Protective Service Details transporting us from point A to point B outside the wire in Mogadishu, our PSD lead always, every trip, explained what weapons he and the driver had and where extra mags (with radios and a med kit) in bags were inside the B6 armored SUV. It goes without saying that each of us regulars learned basic Tokarev and AK operation. Glad I never needed it, although one B6 was hit by an IED in early '22; they had to find and hold cover until friendlies arrived.
Last I checked, before you took your DOB offline, you're like 80 years old. . .

Not sure how that helps. No name, no DOB, and we certainly don't know what you look like, and really, nobody knows what that ID means . . .
I had to laugh ... a validated visa, stamped in at that country's immigration post, is certainly not an "...ID..." but is affixed to the visa pages of one's passport, personal or official. I guess not everyone is familiar with crossing borders for work. 😀

That's alright- there will be many more stories and a new country in future posts... been watching that sh.... stuff for 10 years. Like anyone cares. But I never said that was posted for a particular person...odd huh?
There lies the brag of McBragg....

Primary carry: 1911A1 Government 6.5lb trigger
BUG: Officers model 6.5lb trigger

Both Metaloyed, both stock oem

My one AND only carry since I got my cup circa 1984. Today, the only difference is the officers is a lightweight. 2 spare sts Pachmyer mags under opposite shoulder, 2 spare Pachmyer mags on left hip, in the weapons, PC has a Remington 7rd covered feedlip mag, the officers has a 7rd mag. The 4 Pachmyer sts are 8rd. The guns are loaded with 185gr fragmentation rds, the two mags in shoulder system are 200gr jhp aka flying ashtrays, the 2 on hip are 230gr ball. This has been and will always be my rotation. On RARE occasions around the house, I will carry a Metaloyed Browning Hi Powe loaded with 17+1 Israeli BAT rounds, Blitz Action Trauma. Have thousands of them, and they make the 9mm a 45 equal.

Has anyone thought of how their guns feel when you go out with another gun? Does your gun sulk in the safe when you leave it behind and take its new replacement? Does it try to guilt you if you come home with the smell of gunpowder on your hands? Fortunately my happy family of small EDC revolvers each has her place in the scheme of things and is proud to do her part when called upon. Just as importantly none gets jealous of her sisters and serves proudly in her rotation. Observe their family portrait.

Well, one can always travel the world on YouTube. No need for visas, and no risk (if one has a comfy chair).

Now Muss, you'll need to recheck your offline 'sources.' Careful not to get any on you.

I don’t know. I think the single dedicated EDC is overrated. I don’t know how many handguns I have. But it’s a lot. I can stick any of them in a holster and operate it in a stressful situation with zero problems. My semi autos are all similar and at the end of the day a double action revolver is a double action revolver. I think it’s a silly talking point by self appointed experts who think they are smarter than you.

I was criticized by a gunsmith once, for spending money on a number of used, inexpensive hand guns I LIKED - rather then buying ONE name brand expensive gun with more "value". I took this as a slur, maybe not being a Slut - but a Dummy.
But, since I was doing the earning & spending (within my means) & happy with what I owned - I disregarded his opinion.
Besides I'm sure my choices were cooler than his, & I'm not worried about wear - while enjoying them. All I own work perfectly - something high prices don't guarantee.

T is for target…..
I always thought it meant terrorists.

Or maybe

a part time auxiliary officer in East Cowpoop, New Hampshire.
That was oddly specific.

Gun slut? Humph. I call it well rounded. Nothing says you're going to fight with your gun.
When I joined the Army in 1988 it was generally assumed that if I ever had to fight I was going to be fighting somebody carrying an AK-47.

Oddly enough, the Army never taught me how to shoot an AK-47. I don't even know where the magazine release or the safety is on an AK-47 I don't know even know if there is a safety on an AK-47.

You would think they would have at least given us a week of familiarization

I've talked about this before but the primary reason that I'm not a "gun slut" has more to do with my being an Ebenezer Scrooge than it does being a Tactical Tommy.

I've already said my two primary carry guns are Glock 19 and a Glock 26. My wife chose a Glock 19 as her carry gun.

That means I only had to buy two Glock 26 magazines for a total of five and put the 12 round extensions on them.

Everything else I bought was a Glock 19 magazine and it would work in any one of those three guns.

My wife has a weird little bug in her brain. I don't understand it but if she had the option of buying 10 Glock 19 magazines for a total of $100 (yes I know that price is wildly inaccurate) or 5 Glock 19 magazines and 5 Glock 26 magazines, still for a total of $100 she would opt for the 10 Glock 19 magazines every single time.

My supply lines are shorter and it's easier to get the CFO to open up the wallet.

As noted many times on this Forum, I carry a S&W M649 daily except when I head to certain places which I consider to be higher targets of opportunity for Tangos and other perps, at which point I switch to a Walther CCP 9mm for the extra firepower and because I can tote a loaded magazine, too. Does that make me a "gun slut"? I hope so............ :ROFLMAO:
Yes you are,but since you shower every day your not a dirty little gun slut.
