You might be an ammo hoarder if:
You have a 3-D map by caliber and loading of your ammo storage area.
If every door in your basement has a caliber label on the door, and there's more than one door.
If your neighbors notice UPS stops at your house every day.

You might be an ammo hoarder/smart person.
If the current shortage is not really a cause of any concern to you.
Also if your UPS guy hates you. This is a pretty good indicator as well.

By Southern California standards, someone

"mentally unstable."

In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector."
In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector."
In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared,"
but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made
sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food."
In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would
want to have for a friend."
In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."
In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."
In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor."
In North Carolina, Virginia, WV, Mississippi, Alabama,
Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina he would be called
"a deer hunting buddy."
AND OF COURSE
In Texas he'd just be "Bubba; who's a little short on Ammo."

When you own two more houses besides the one you live in and won't sell either in a sellers market because you need them for ammo and component storage . 95% of my loaded ammo I loaded, the other 5% I bought factory because the cases are near imposable to find in the raw.

Sounds like we've got "proof of concept" here.
I'm not an ammo hoarder - too expensive.
I'm a components hoarder instead.
My stash is still worth more than my pickup though.
Not because the stash is so huge, but because my pickup is a 1986 model.
