Attack Dog! Yikes!

Well, what can I say?Who needs Guard Dog ammo when you've got something this ferocious?

We adopted this one as a pal for our two year old yellow lab. I think she's a mix of mongrel and mutt. Her legs are about as long as a 357 casing. Hilarious to see her run around in circles in the yard. Beulah (the lab) is happy.

That wouldn't fill her up. This is the first time I've ever had a fourth of a dog.

As for a guard dog, I would rather be put in a kennel with 100 PitBulls, then to be in a kennel with just one LITTLE dog.
The little ones are the ones that you have to watch out for, they can be nasty little devils.

Thanks.There was a beautiful black and gray Pit there that I asked about taking,too. It was a young dog,but not a baby. Extremely friendly. Our animal control cannot adopt out Pits,but can let rescue groups have them. I really wanted him for an outside dog. Pits have just gotten a bad rap IMO. If you take a dog when it's young,treat it well and show it affection,it will very rarely turn out to be a bad dog,no matter what the breed.
Our yellow Lab loves everybody and every creature.She's a danger to herself.She tries to play with the frogs and lizards.

One of the most ferocious looking Dobermans I've ever seen belonged to a neighbor,but was the sweetest dog you'd want to meet. It's just a matter of raising them right.
Being retired from the county,I get them at no charge.
I wish I had the space and funds for feeding,I'd take 'em all.

Dobies & Rotts by their nature are usually very mild mannered dogs.

Doxies, now... there was a study awhile back that found Doxies were the breed most likely to actually bite.

But wiener dogs are SO cute!

I've been around dogs most of my life, have had Shepards, Collies, Airedales, etc. Been bitten by dogs twice, both times when I was under age ten.

Both of the biters were dachshunds. I don't trust those little ankle-munchers anymore.
