I sent a email to S&W last nite:My ejector moves in and out about a eight of a inch. I called S&W and they told me this was nomal. ( think not )
Broke it in on cci minni mag then some Federal 550 all working great. Then all of a sudden it won`t shoot the 550`s. Tried the ejector ajustment on the web site things remained pretty much the same. Trip to my trusted gun smith he alter the feed lips on two magazines. Dissembled all 3 and cleaned and lubed. Work great for about 200 rounds then went back to what it was.( FTE,FTF stove pipes ) My opinion is it`s the loose ejector. I think it will blow out of there eventuality and then well see what S&W have to say. Gun serial DUM so the updates should be done.
Hi Smith & Wesson,
On approximately July 28, 2010 I purchased the M&P 15-22. The rifle worked great at first than all of a sudden it starter to jam almost every round. After inspection my ejector moves in and out about a eight of a inch. Broke it in on cci minni mag then some Federal 550 all working great. Then all of a sudden it won`t shoot the 550`s. Dissembled all 3 magazines and cleaned and lubed them. Work great for about 200 rounds then went back to what it was.( FTE,FTF stove pipes ) My opinion is it`s the loose ejector. I think it will blow out of there eventuality and I hope no one get`s hurt. Gun serial DUM xxxx so the updates should be done. I think it need`s to come back to S&W for repair. This Rifle of the year need`s a little work. Thank you.
I heard from S&W this morning after emailing them last nite.
Their response:
You are right. I attached free shipping and instructions.
Thank You
S&W
Joe
