Yup it is sickening to see them using kids as props but I expected nothing less from this lot. It is infuriating.

Smoke and mirrors. Some monster commits an atrocity with a gun and the government passes some laws that will have zero effect on the issue at hand and pats itself on the back and says, "there we solved that problem". "Don't *** on my shoe and tell me its raining". Then, later on another monster wants his 15 minutes of fame and the government says the restrictions do not go far enough.

This is going on today in Chicago where the government is unwilling or unable to deal with violent drug gangs.

The sad truth is killings like Sandy Hook are rare and the causes are complicated. It didn't just happen because someone left a gun lieing around. Had the shooter not been able to get his mother's gun perhaps she could have gotten him into a psych unit somewhere. Still, they are prone to give medicine that takes the symptoms away and let the patients loose. Then the patient doesn't care for the medicine's side effects and stops taking it.

I have said this before, politicians like President Obama wanted to disarm the population to exercise greater control over us. This legislation has nothing to do with protecting school children it is about gathering government power.
