Sounds like you're in great spirits considering the serious screwing over you have received.:) Hopefully they give you a good fitting screwdriver to tighten things up when necessary. No sense using a S&W screwdriver on a job like that!

When this is all over if someone says John Wayne, Wyatt Earp, Bill Hitchcock and you do not know who they are talking about I would ask for my money back from the doctors.

Just kidding friend hangs in there all sounds like its going well.:D

When all is said an d doe, if I become anti--Western? ill sue. However, so far, that isnt the issue. Im currently watching season 1 of: The Wild Wild West and are greatly enjoying it.:)

Hi Ringo:

Glad to hear you are doing well. A suggestion - ask the Dr. to remove the rivets/screws and replace them with BIG crude looking stiches. That way, when you get to go home, all you'll need to do is add some electrodes to your neck and you're all set for Halloween. Hang in there, buddy, we are all pulling for you.

Best regards,

Dave

Heh heh, im feeling like a spaced-out Herman Munster as it is.:D

Thanks for the report, Chrome-Dome...just kidding :D. Happy to hear the first round went OK. I have faith that you'll be good as new when all is said and done.

Best,
Don

Chrome dome, more like: Coney Conehead. I have a strangely-shaped head. However, its now covered with fuzz that feels like sandpaper. Now ill no need another haircut by next gun show,

Ringo, my brother, diagnosed with rectal cancer, just sent me this.

Sorry to drift to the southern hemisphere. None the less,I thought of you.:D

Can you give us a summary of what the screws and wires are supposed to do?

I've never heard of this sort of procedure. Will the wires be under the skull, in the brain?

Prayers continue.

As far as I know, the wires will be under te skull cap. I think they are going in the dime-sizes holes drilled on Wed/ Not sure how the stuff will be connected. The probes are already inside but will tbe switced on till the batteries are inside my chest. This surgey is also outpatient and im guessiing is about two or so hours long. Then the fine-tuning begins.

You hang in there my friend. You at the top of my prayer list until you're all better. Keep that up-beat and positive attitude and get back to us when you can.

And don't you worry 'bout that bald headed thang, you just stick it up and walk it! Guys like us make it look GOOD!

Looks good on you but on me, neh. My head is already funny lookin as it is.:)

:)Glad to hear things are going well. :)

When you get out and about hope you do not set off all those theft detectors portals all the stores now have. No one will believe you when you explain it's all about the screws and wires in your head and want to do a strip search.:D

I'm glad it was out-patient and they didn't have to put you under, that always simplifies things. I was put out when they drilled a hole to drain blood and had to spend the night. Anti-seizure drugs to make sure I didn't flip out. Before I could be released I had to pass physical and cognitive tests. I ran mental circles around those young nurses.

Actually, my 1st and 3rd are out-patient but, the 2nd though I was aware--I really wasnt aware of what was going on. It would have been much too painful. Apparently, I had a bad reaction to tuesdays surgery .

The closest I can come to pics are to google unmasking of Darth Vader in: Return if the Jedi. My scars will resemble his to an extent. ;)

I love your sense of humor. I had a brain scan a couple months ago,
but they found nothing.

Hang in there, my prayers and many others are coming your way.

That is good to here. Glad you dont need surgery of any type.

Hey, Ringo. I've got a movie trivia question for you. How many actors can you think of that have played Wyatt Earp in more than one movie?

Everyone else hold off on answering until after Ringo does.:)

Thats a good one, I dont know off-hand? I cant think of any fairly recent actors who played him more than once.

Ill be a problem at walmart as their detectors go off prematurly as it is. About half the time, it goes off when im coming or going.

Ringo,

I just now came across this thread. My apologies for not posting earlier - I'm amazed at all you've had to go through. You've endured with a great sense of humor! I wish you a speedy recovery and a return to being able to shoot a rifle. Glad you had the foresight to request the battery be on the left side!

I absolutely admire you for your fortitude in the face of so much stuff that would be hard for anybody to endure. Keep us posted on progress; I'm sure with your attitude it will all work out great.

All the best,
John

Glad you're still posting, Ringo. I know all this will work out good for you. I'm almost 4 weeks now post op on my shoulder reconstruction and can actually move it around again. Still hurts but the surgery worked. These guys and gals are real good these days at this surgery stuff. It'll all be over soon, dude. Keep the faith!

Glad your feeling better yourself. I know in my case-that a slight mishap can cause great difficulty as was evident with the probing i had on Wed.
