Breakfast for dinner

Egg, cheese, onions, pepperoni omelet. Cook the onions and pepperoni first then add the eggs and cheese.

Buckwheat pancakes.

Whole wheat pancakes

Pepperadge farm cimomum bread French toast.

Texas French toast.

Tomatoes and eggs. Fry the eggs sunny side up, add tomatoes and simmer. Season to your taste.

At home we ate this every Friday night.

In the old country, fried potatoes, sausage, ham, fried and scrambled eggs were lunch and dinner foods anyways, while the breakfast was bread-based with cheeses, cold cuts, jam and such, so I have no trouble at all making or ordering hot breakfast foods here at all times of the day.

My favorite hang-outs for informal eating out are local diners where you can get breakfast 24 hours, which I often do, even if it does look a bit idiosyncratic when I dig into my omelet with hash browns at 8 pm while everyone else is munching cheeseburgers or steak ;) .

I don't do it every week but the wife and I do go to the Waffle House often in the evening to eat breakfast food for dinner.I love Fiesta Omelette with a side order of toast, bacon, grits, and sliced tomatoes with Orange Juice.

At the risk of my reputation and personal pride...... what there is left of it ........my Boys bought me a "Egg-tastic" microwave egg cooker for Christmas of 2015......normally the type of gift that migrates to the back of the cupboard ...... well it was Christmas break and the Boys were home so..........

I/we gave it a shot.......what do you know the darn thing works! Scrambled eggs with (some or all) bacon, ham, cheese, peppers, salsa, and mushrooms.... in under 5 minutes (prep (varies) and cooking (1:30)..........

Prep, cook and eat ......... and only one dish to wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So eggs in the morning 2-3 times a week now.

So we're not doing "Breakfast for Dinner" as much anymore but still about once every three weeks..............................

My wife and I have breakfast for dinner one night every week. Egg's fried in butter, buttered toast, thick cut bacon and sausage patties. Great stuff. Wonder if it has anything to do with my cholesterol issue??

Apparently McDonald's extending their breakfast menu thru the whole day was an excellent financial move. The only thing I ever order is a Sausage McMuffin with Egg as I think these are really good and they have a two-fer on them.
I personally like to make up a dozen deviled eggs and keep them around for a snack.

Breakfast for dinner? All the time!

Who made the rule that bacon and eggs are a morning thing?

Just last night, I cut three slabs of French bread, and turned them into a stack of French toast, and with scrambled eggs on the side, was a wonderful dinner!

And I'm so hooked on steel-cut oats, I can eat them for dessert.

Rusty,

I'll eat breakfast any time of the day or night, and I'll eat it 2 or 3 times a day without complaint, especially if there's a bit of variation in "what's for breakfast!" Lots of ways to fix aigs, lots of great stuff to go with 'em, and with fried taters and/or gravy made in the same skillet as the bacon or sausage grease, there's just no end to the variety of breakfast. I'll eat bacon anytime and in between times too. I like some sausage, depending on the seasonings used, ham is great, and a good porkchop is wonderful! With or without green chile or salsa on those aigs, or if they are scrambled and mixed with bacon and cheddar cheese and some grilled onion and all wrapped up nicely in a fresh flour tortilla, well, bring on the green chile!!!

Breakfast ... it's whats for dinner or supper or a snack in between. And, oh yeah, it's also what's for breakfast!!!
