Brunch

We are similar. We have a pack of thick cut, applewood smoked bacon once every two months.

If we have tomatoes then a toasted BLT, if not then a toasted B.

My girlfriend bakes bacon in the oven. Racks are available from Amazon, and there are plenty of cooking hints on line. The bacon comes out perfect, with no grease splatter... :)

I used to use the oven but have since switched over to the Traeger, the extra smokey goodness is amazing. I mostly use shoulder bacon anymore, or thick cut stuff. I buddy and I have been tempted to make our own and will probably experiment with it in the near future. On the Traeger I usually fill it up, then store the smoked bacon in the fridge for use, it doesn't last very long with sandwich popularity this time of year.

At my age guess I eat all the foods that are not good for me but what the Hell. Here goes. I love bacon, Ham, eggs, fried spuds, hot cakes, peanut butter, honey and venison. Any one else feel this way?

Heck, yes. I'm old, overweight and diabetic, but I enjoy all of those things. It's just a matter of making good choices and not going overboard on anything. My hot cakes are whole grain Kodiak Power Flapjacks drizzled with just enough pure maple syrup to moisten them without sending my blood sugar through the roof.

I just had bacon accidently put on my grilled chicken sandwich. I was tempted to eat and said it was God talking, but ended up sending it back. So close.
