Hi everyone

Backing onto "Doctors and Pain", has anyone had any experience with Cannabis Oil CBD or other Cannabis products for treatment of Chronic Pain?

After all the fusion and decompression surgeries (L3-S1), nerve blocks, CT guided injections, pain neuro stimulator implants, and normal pain drugs (opioids/methadone), I'm giving it a three month trial starting 2 December 2020. Cannabis as a medicinal pain relief drug has only recently been legalized in my State of Australia.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

My kid...

Age 46 says I should try it, I said screw it legal or not in this rathole I'm not taking a chance on any border queries screwing up my NEXUS passage.
My friend age 69 uses it and also smokes the stuff, drives me crazy when we are hunting and I have to smell the stuff outside, he says it helps, so that is as close as I can get for you.

Question? Why moo moo, does that have anything to do with mau mau?

Good luck my friend, I hope it works for you.
I have been using full spectrum CBD oil for about a year now and believe it helps. I also use concentrated Cherry Juice, Apple Cider Vinegar, Turmeric, Ginger and Honey to help with inflammation.

I wonder if CBD oil would be good for chronic knee pain. My wife has arthritis in her right knee and can barely walk sometimes. The doctor gave her a shot of cortisone in the knee and it helped, but only a couple of months.

Where would one purchase some CBD? I've heard there are scams, so I'm leery of ordering it online.

Around here you can even buy it in gas stations.

I have two friends in their 70's who swear by it. They claim it works when nothing else has. Proof of its effectiveness, of sorts, is that we meet up 3 days a week for a session at the gym.

I'm bone on bone in both knees (well, at least until 2 weeks ago. I'm now bone on bone in only one!). I tried a CBD salve from local hemp farm this past summer. My experience was I got about the same relief as using Australian Dream Cream, but the CBD cost was about 2.5x. The CBD seemed to act faster, but didn't seem to last as long. But everyone seems to respond to these things differently, so I would give it a try.

Neighbor brought some cdb cream/salve up to try on a broken rib that was extremely painful. Can honestly say it reduced the pain far better than traditional over the counter products. Also worked better than nsaids type oral pain relievers. After a couple of days without comparable results, tried it again to confirm I wasn’t dreaming. Yep, the stuff really did work for me. Finally found the same particular brand on the web but didn’t purchase due to sticker shock.

Voltarin just became available w/o a prescription. I’ve used it for chronic pain & it works pretty well for me.

Funny this topic came up. This morning I blew off hunting because
arthritis was so bad. . Extra strength Bayer just doesn't work any more. My sister has been telling me for months to use all of the stuff Moosedog suggested. Off to town to buy it.
THANKS.

I've been using cbd oil and lotion for a couple of years. It works for me. Laura's Mercantile is a good place to buy and I recommend the 3000mg oil and the 600mg bottle of lotion.

A cheaper alternative is Lazarus Naturals and they come highly recommended. I have not used their product yet but a delivery is expected today. They have cbd in an isolate powder that you mix yourself. Cuts the cost way down.

My pain is arthritis, old unrepaired rotator cuff tears in both shoulders and pain from an old compound ankle fracture, along with the general aches and pains from 70 years of hard living. I used to take 10+ ibuprofen per day and now I seldom take any. Also helps me sleep. My oldest dog is going on 17 and he gets 10mg per day and it helps him. I don't see a downside and my primary care dr is in favor.

I can't say it's habit forming but pain tells me if I miss a dose. I use it am with morning coffee and pm about 30 minutes before bedtime. I think when someone says it doesn't work they aren't using enough. If you buy 1 oz gas station bottle with 750mg cbd usual cost is $50. I take approx 50mg per day so a bottle lasts 15 days. Pretty salty $$$

Laura's Merc 3000mg bottle runs $100 on sale and that is 60 days. With the Lazarus Natural isolate you get 5000mg cbd for $35 or 100 days @ 50mg per day making it 35 cents a dose. I'm going to mix with extra virgin olive oil and make a tincture that goes under my tongue.

Mau Mau was in Kenya, not Australia. For a candid description based closely on facts gleaned from police reports and actual terrorist confessions, read, Something of Value by Robert C. Ruark. Be prepared to be shocked and disgusted.

Also read, Man Hunt in Kenya, by Inspector Ian Henderson, GM.

The only connection between Moo and Mau Mau is that the latter did like to mutilate cattle. And people.

I tried it 3 different times and it just doesn't help me. I have heard from friends that it worked great for them though.

You may need to try the cdb;)rather than the CBD flavor:D

Seriously, the snake oil version vs. the expensive CBD could be vastly different.
