I was at Wal-Mart today picking up a prescription and while I was waiting I detoured over to the ammo/guns and such and looked around. On the counter they had about 20 plastic boxes of CCI MiniMag bulk. Each can held 1600 rounds and was priced at $98.99.

I asked the worked behind the counter when he got these in and he said a few days ago and that all Wal-Marts are going to start carrying tins/cans/boxes to compete with Dicks Sporting Goods and Cabelas in terms of ammo sales. Thought it was pretty cool since I've never seen them in bulk like that before, he said they were new... just an FYI.

They're selling them at Academy now as well. At first I thought it was a good deal until I did the math. Comes out to 6.24 =100rds. Regular 100rds boxes are only 6.67. For me it's worth
. 40 to reuse the CCI boxes for my Wolf and Eley ammo. They have the worst design ammo boxes ever.

These ammo cans contain 16 of the 100 round plastic cases that you buy off the shelve.

Then that would be cool. I believe the Academy bulk was loose pack. But I'll certainly double check it next time I'm there.
I can't support Wally World. Employees and the entire entity rub me the wrong way. I'm willing to pay a little more for knowledge and customer service.

Cool sadly my Wally world never ever has anything good in stock ever.

It also comes in a plastic ammo box mil style. All 16 boxes of the 50 round cci fit inside nice. Box probaly cost $10 or more.

I reuse the mini-mag plastic 100 round boxes all the time. They are a great tool at the range. Need 10 rounds - 2 clicks.
Need 20 rounds - 4 clicks, etc...

I fill out labels telling what's in the box.

When I have a used up box. I spray it with WD40 and let it sit over night. The CCI labels come right off.

Easy to carry. Easy too know how much ammo you took/fired. Also easy to know how much you have.

I have ~ 30 empties right now! About time to buy a case!

I keep my subsonic, tracers, and match rounds in the 50 round CCI plastic boxes.

Kinda like the old jelly glass jar! Just keep using them.

That's interesting. I've been buying CCI Standard Velocity at Dicks Sporting Goods for a long time but they haven't had the 500rd $25 boxes for a few weeks.

I remember when the CMP program was selling a brick of 500 Remington for 5.00. I believe that was in the early 90s
Unfortunately if my memory servs me right that stuff had primers that were not always dependable

Couldn't find bulk CCI MiniMags at Walmart or Academy. Luckily, I live near Palmetto State Armory but they didn't have any either.

I saw 2 cans at my LWM didn't pick up due to lack of funds. Probably be gone and never seen again.... :(
No Federal Bulk, No Win M22 either.
Win 555, Rem Thunderbolts and a few CCI plastipaks that was all.

Yep guess I never really thought of them that way. CCI ammo boxes are the old school baby food jars of the rimfire loonies world.

Rimfire loonies world???
I would laugh, but then I am of this world!

I have been shooting Rimfire for 50 + years. Still gives me the most pleasure.

My FIL told me about this great offer yesterday, so I run to Walmart this morning and not only do they not have the CCI MiniMag bulk, but the didn't have any .22lr at all.

Maybe I need to switch to the 870 for a while...there's plenty of ammo on the shelf for that...

my local walmart did not have any 100 count minimags 0030-plinking ammo. it did have 100 count minimag hp. as i read in other forums, people asked the clerk to check behind (under) the counter due to the size. i asked and the guy seemed to know what i wanted. he checked the counter and then in back warehouse. he came back with two boxes of 1600. 16 each 100 count boxes. last two, i bought them both. $98.00 each plus tax. just a reminder, dont forget to ask. good luck. :)

I just bought a 1600 round pack the other day. i paid about 100, thas including tax. I think its a great deal, i prefer to use good quality .22 that work
