Christmas Eve musings of a newly minted codger.

I'll be 55 next year. So I get to order off the senior menu at Perkins LOL.

Yes, I've thought about it. If you asked 21 year old me where 55 year old me would be living, what I'd be doing for a living, and who I was married to, my 21 year old self would have laughed at 55 year old me and said to stop smoking crack.

I made some very stupid decisions along the way, but call it fate, Karma, or someone looking out for me, everything worked out fine.

I'm passed the wouda-coulda-shoulda. Once you accept that a weight is lifted off your shoulders.

I'm ok with my life.

Family is important so long as you have a good one. If they are nothing but sponges and freeloaders, see you as nothing but a cash cow, an ATM, treat you with disdain and contempt...."It is better to be alone than to wish you were."

Sixty eight years and counting. It has been pretty good. Kids are grown and on their own. I don't exactly agree with a lot they do but they will figure it out as we all have. Wife and I have been together 42 years and we still enjoy each other but she sometimes drives me nuts LOL.
Lot's of memories of friends and family that have went on ahead and what ifs.
Looking forward to more adventures. As Calvin said to Hobbes let's go exploring.
