Daily Carry. What Works for You?

Dashless 640 in strong side front pocket, in a DeSantis Nemesis or Uncle Mike's #3 holster depending on pocket du jour. Spyderco Endura (mostly) or SOG Flash II clipped in hip pocket. Victorinox Super Tinker in weak side front pocket.

My EDC....

Nice guys. I see a bunch of wheelies I'd love to have. Here is my EDC. The pic speaks for itself, except that the action and trigger was worked by Sandy Garrett @ Northern Virginia Gun Works. He also did the action on my Model 19 2.5". - 'old joe

Oh, and an iPhone 5s, which you can't see, since it's taking the pic...

Great. Loving the gear photos. Always looking to test out new gear, keep em coming.

For me M&P 340 is tops on my wish list for every day pocket carry - I'm saving my nickels. Self defense with just me should be taken care of within 5 shots with getting my rear out of a lethal situation. However if I have my wife and daughter with me the option to run is not there, so with this scenario I now carry a 40 cal Glock 27 and a spare mag.

Don't have any photos of all the stuff I tend to carry everyday.

Always: Wallet, keys, handkerchief, flip phone, Streamlight Pro Tac HL, Spiderco Native, 642-2 in a Galco pocket holster and a speed strip.

642-2. (Has Uncle Mike boot grips now.)

Normally as well: 4516-2 IWB with two 7rd magazines OWB or 2" 64-6 AIWB with two speedloaders and a extra speed strip.

4516-2.

64-6.

I decided a long, long time ago that my use of a defensive CC handgun was a last ditch, fighting on the ground, belly gun. I have preplanned and resolved any other issue associated with a private citizen CC situation. I'm not preventing a robbery of the Quik Trip, not stopping a carjacking, and not keeping a bank robber from stealing the bank's money, unless I or my family member is the victim. I am sorry if your loved one gets killed, but protecting them is not my job. I am confident that I can deal with any problem that may present itself in my chosen scenarios with a NAA .22 WMR, a Kel Tec P32, or a Kel Tec P3AT, along with a Benchmade automatic knife and a fairly vicious left elbow to the throat. Any of those guns or techniques can be used to resolve the issue, or help me fight my way to the big gun in my car or other area. I cannot envision a scenario, and there is not one to point to, where an innocent CCW holder/bystander had to reload and continue the fight. Don't resurrect the attic shooting, which is the only one known to man, and not applicable to me. If I'm at home, like that nice lady was, cover your ears and duck.

Interesting how many of us have gravitated to the same guns. And no surprise, this being a S&W forum, many carry the 642 or a variant of that gun, as their primary carry gun (mine has CT laser grips and is usually carried in my right front pocket in a Remora holster). My other carry guns are also the same as many others have named here, primarily an LCP if I really want to go light weight, or an LC9s if, for whatever reason, I just want a bit more capacity (7+1) since I rarely carry a speed strip, speedloader or second magazine.

My carry is a Kel-Tec P11 in an Aliengear Tuck 2.0 IWB holster, very comfortable. My occasional carry is a S&W model 37 airwieght in a modified Uncle Mike's holster, also very comfortable.

my edc these days is a Springfield TRP, with 2 Mc Cormac 10 rounders for re-load work. i also tote an Esee Izula 2 fixed blade, and a Spyderco with the wave technology folder. often my LCP or my 442-2 ride in a front pocket with 1 re-load for either. i carry the TRP IWB in a VMII from Milt Sparks. mags ride in Safariland clip on holders. i wear Wilderness Express instructor type belts. a Streamlight lil light in a pocket at night. yes its alot to lug around, but in south FLA its getting pretty dangerous. i have kiddies and a wife to protect, and i will do so if needed. i like to think i'm prepared more than paranoid...

Well said. Some folks will look for an excuse to use their weapon. I will not protect a bank's money, but if the bg holds a gun to someone's head I will put mine on the line.

depends.....

It depends on what I am doing, besides a wallet and keys, it is normally a 642 for around the house or a quick trip to the local " git-n-split", to my normal EDC, Mdl 19-4 to the last of my bottom feeders.... my 1911 for when I think the most power might be needed.... or because I want to...IMG_0024.jpg

sorry about how the pic's aligned..... how can my pics be right side up on my computer and sideways when I attach them?....... oh well ya'll get the drift.

Off topic, but I have to say I am amazed at how nice everybody's 642s look compared to mine. I must be doing something wrong.

Only S&W handgun I have is a governor, and although I can actually conceal it, its just to flippin heavy to pack around after 10 hours etc. I carry glocks with the hidden hybrid holsters.
