Dark Times Ahead

I had my first and last at a McDonalds in Honolulu in 1987.

Just McDonald's creative use for lips and ********. Kind of a fancy hot dog, if you will.

Typically I shy away from eating fast food but I've eaten several McRibs in the past and wouldn't have an issue eating another one.

@#%&! Dog gne Rusty...Did ya have to do that? Now I can't go and get one. Those words will be flashing across my vision. Some things MDs makes are ok. No fish...No fish. I liked their Sausage egg and cheese McMuffin so went out found egg ring cookers on Amazon...Bought some JD sausage and make my own at home Having one today...my wife even likes 'em. Instead of 3.50...cost maybe 75 cents

I will say that McDonalds has a good breakfast. I'm quite fond of their biscuits.
But I won't eat there after breakfast hours. If forced to, I get chicken nuggets.

Two years ago I got a McDs cheese burger. Took it home, unwrapped it and put it on a paper plate on top of the fridge. It did not rot, mold, or melt. Just dried out. The "patty" looks like it just came off the griddle. After a year the "cheese" turned to a gross brown color. Real food does not do this. Eat their food at your own risk.

Used to get the Tony Roma's version out of the vending machine at work. It sucked and it was better than a McRib. This ain't Kansas City or Memphis or Texas, but there's usually a place to get a decent pulled pork sandwich around. The McRib is better than starving, but only just.

My local McDonald's had the McRib already so I got one. It was better than the last one I had

South Carolina has the best BBQ...everyone else suffers from terminal wishful thinking syndrome.
SC has some EXCELLENT barbecue, and I am a connoisseur {big, fancy word for an overeater in a good barbecue joint}. :D
Actually, most southern states have some EXCELLENT barbecue joints. In my experience, they all have some lousy ones also. ;)

Every barbecue joint is different. No two have ever been exactly alike, and I've eaten in hundreds. The stew or the sauce or the meat will vary. The condition of the building will not determine the quality of the food. A nice, new building can have awful food, and a bona fide dump can have deee-licious food.

The McRib? I ate one so many years ago I can't remember. I shall not eat another.

Let me be the first to declare, without shame or embarrassment, that I LOVE THE MCRIB!

"Hi, my names Jeff."
"HI, Jeff!"
"I have eaten the McRibs sandwich from McDonalds; and I liked it."
"Hey, dumb butt! The moron meeting is down the hall! This is the Isaly's group!"

I actually have eaten and liked them, but that was my first marriage and she couldn't cook a watermelon. Ask me how I know! Zucchini doesn't grow that big.

FWIW, Parkers in N.C. used to have great BBQ in the 80's-90's. Have heard various stores regarding them lately. Down here in S.E. Ga. and N.E. Fla. all so called BBQ is just smoked pork. Found 1 small place in JAX that has " sort of" Eastern N.C. BBQ.
