This is not my gun! ! ! I'm posting it for a friend that is photo challenged!
The gun is a recently acquired 27-1 with Curtis Harlow grips.

Who is Curtis Harlow and why are those oversized grips anything special? I agree they are nicely figured, checkered, and finished, but the fundamental design does nothing for me. I would prefer a nicely done Magna style.

..Curtis Harlow is a forum member and custom grip maker out of Oregon. The grips are special because of the fit and finish that goes into them along with the elegant checkering.

It’s hard to not like a 27-1, let alone one with some spectacular Roper style grips. I got some grips back from Curtis yesterday that he worked on. In my mind he is a true craftsman. He has also done work for others in my crew, DeputyDon and kansasgunner. This 27-1 looks gorgeous. I would be very proud to own it.

OK. I agree the craftsmanship is outstanding, but I probably wouldn't give them a second glance sitting in the gun case due to the configuration. No bother, no worries, everybody likes different things.

Beautiful revolver and stocks. Curtis’s work is exemplary, I think, one of the best today.
I have not seen to many 27-1’s, do they have checkered backstraps, or is that a custom addition? The picture of the backstrap and the stocks really show off the the beauty of your M27.
