Do you carry more than one gun frequently?

Since my occupation does not involve society at its' worst, I carry a 6906 with 12 rds of good PD rounds, no reloads. I figure if'n that ain't enough, I probably wouldn't have survived anyway. Joe

I seldom carry a firearm at all and I live in a violent, crime ridden, drug running, illegal trafficking crossroad city of ABQ.

So what is your point?

You may never have need of a firearm or any other tool of self-defense in your life, a fair percentage of the population never does, even those living in what are statistically high crime areas! But just in case at some time you do become a victim of some form of violent crime what do you suppose you are going to use to defend yourself or family members placed in jeopardy with you? Or are you one of those who believes the bandit won't harm you if you are polite and comply with his (their) demands freely? Believe me, it doesn't always work!!!!!!!!

Are you familiar with the expression "It's better to have ....... and not need it that to need ...... and not have one!" Insert whatever "tool" for ....... that you want!

Defeatist attitude. You're not done until you're in a pile of empty brass with your guns melted to slag, your knife (knives) stuck in someone's ribs, and your hands locked around someone else's throat as you breathe your last.

My point is I chose not to.

What's the probability of needing TWO or more weapons or being in a firefight? About the same as me needing a firearm.

But just in case at some time you do become a victim of some form of violent crime what do you suppose you are going to use to defend yourself or family members placed in jeopardy with you?
I've already been a victim of violent crime. I've been stabbed and I dealt with the other two people involved with what I had; my mind, knowing how and having the physical ability to fight. Needless to say, I'm still here.

Or are you one of those who believes the bandit won't harm you if you are polite and comply with his (their) demands freely?
Who said I was going to comply? What would you do? Would you assess the situation or just start shooting?

Believe me, it doesn't always work!!!!!!!!
If you say so.

Are you familiar with the expression "It's better to have ....... and not need it that to need ...... and not have one!"
I am.

OK

I have an entirely different mindset, my skills have been put to the test and I walked away (well, after I got stitches and a tetanus shot.) I'm confident in them.

If you all feel the need to carry one, two, three, ten firearms and enough ammo to reload however many times to feel secure, that's cool! If you all feel the need to walk around with a holstered firearm inside the house, that's cool, too! I'm not bad mouthing anybody. Do what you have to do to make yourself feel secure where you live and go about your day. You'll get no argument from me.

I carry one accessible gun at all times.

The usually means that I have two guns at all times.

When seated, especially in the car, my belt carried gun is not readily accessible. So I rely on my ankle carried gun.

When standing, my ankle carried gun is not readily accessible but my belt carried is.

I have a 340PD which I sometimes carry in my pocket, but I would still carry something on my ankle as pocket carry is nearly impossible to access when seated.

That's my late Father. When traveling he carried his cash and cards in a front pocket. In the rear pocket was an old bill fold with fake credit cards like you used to get in mail ads and 2 1 dollar bills sticking out so they could be easily seen. Never had to use it but he was ready.

When going back to Iowa to visit relatives he also carried a loaded 1851 Navy under the seat. Iowa frowned on out of state folks having real pistols in the car.

Someone would have been in trouble, he frog hunted with it and 99% of the time popped the frog in the head.

I carry a Keltec P32 in a Desantis wallet holster. It's the first thing I throw in my back pocket in the morning. If I leave the house I will add a primary.
