Since my occupation does not involve society at its' worst, I carry a 6906 with 12 rds of good PD rounds, no reloads. I figure if'n that ain't enough, I probably wouldn't have survived anyway. Joe

Defeatist attitude. You're not done until you're in a pile of empty brass with your guns melted to slag, your knife (knives) stuck in someone's ribs, and your hands locked around someone else's throat as you breathe your last.Since my occupation does not involve society at its' worst, I carry a 6906 with 12 rds of good PD rounds, no reloads. My point is I chose not to.So what is your point?
What's the probability of needing TWO or more weapons or being in a firefight? About the same as me needing a firearm. You may never have need of a firearm or any other tool of self-defense in your life, a fair percentage of the population never does, even those living in what are statistically high crime areas!
I've already been a victim of violent crime. I've been stabbed and I dealt with the other two people involved with what I had; my mind, knowing how and having the physical ability to fight. Needless to say, I'm still here. But just in case at some time you do become a victim of some form of violent crime what do you suppose you are going to use to defend yourself or family members placed in jeopardy with you?
Who said I was going to comply? What would you do? Would you assess the situation or just start shooting?Or are you one of those who believes the bandit won't harm you if you are polite and comply with his (their) demands freely?
If you say so.Believe me, it doesn't always work!!!!!!!!
I am.Are you familiar with the expression "It's better to have ....... and not need it that to need ...... and not have one!"
OKInsert whatever "tool" for ....... that you want!
That's my late Father. When traveling he carried his cash and cards in a front pocket. In the rear pocket was an old bill fold with fake credit cards like you used to get in mail ads and 2 1 dollar bills sticking out so they could be easily seen. Never had to use it but he was ready.
When going back to Iowa to visit relatives he also carried a loaded 1851 Navy under the seat. Iowa frowned on out of state folks having real pistols in the car.
Someone would have been in trouble, he frog hunted with it and 99% of the time popped the frog in the head.
