Do You Still Have The First S&W You Ever Bought?

No dang it. A model 10 (probably a -5 version), 4" barrel. Back in the day when I traded, sold and swapped like a fool. I do mean fool.

Model 67 for me and my buddy bought a model 66 way back in '72. We both still have them and shoot them.

I sure do, I still have my model 36 no dash from 1974 along with it's original receipt. I must have thrown the box away long ago, before I was S&W smart. :D

Yes I do , the 28-2 on the right 4 inch from Norfolk VA at a whopping $146 NIB with magna grips. Wish I had kept the grips. I still have the box also.
Boy was it difficult to conceal at 155 pounds and no IWB holsters back then.

No the first pistols I bought were a S&W 39-2 and a Browning HP Target in 1972.

I sold the S&W 39-2 to a Richard Ivan Reed and the HP I traded on a Colt Gold Cup.

Who should not sell or trade guns no matter how I feel at the time.

I feel fortunate to still have my first, even though I got a late start at buying S&W revolvers. It's a 686-4 6" I bought new in 1994 for $325. I'm hooked. More pics please.:D

Yes I do!

Here is my 66-1 that has a recessed cylinder but no barrel pin S/N 114K2XX. I bought this revolver used from my friend who is also an FFL. This was the first new gun that he sold as a FFL. The fellow that he sold it to new later traded it in to him. The 66 was sold again to another customer. Once again the 66 was traded in but this time I took possession and have owned it since 1987. I just might have to take this one with me. :D

My first S&W was a nickle four inch 19-2 that I bought while a student in seminary. Upon graduation I gave it to my father. A number of years later my identical-twin brother decided my father needed a updated handgun, so he traded the 19-2 on a Beretta 92. Go figure. That S&W was a real cutie ... TT, TH, TS, WO/RR and the nickle shined like a ... nickle! And... it shot like a house afire! Sincerely. brucev.

First S&W was new in box model 43 in January 1969. I was 18yo. Didn't shoot it a lot and it kicked around in closets for 10 years or so. Sold it for a peanuts and is probably one of my biggest regrets.

Well...kinda...sorta. It's a Model 25-5 Target in .45 Colt. When each of our four kids was old enough to leave the nest, they got their pick of one of Dad's handguns to take with them.

Our youngest son, who is now 36, picked the Model 25. I can't fault him. He has great taste when it comes to guns. He's always told me, though, that I can have it if I really want it back. Nope...it's his fair and square. I gave them each a choice and he picked that one.

It's got a good home, so I'm happy.:)

Yes, but it was only about 10 years ago. Model 36 with a box (serial number doesn't match).

But I have my first 10/22 from the 70's and Security Six, with box and paper work from the 80's.

I seem to be an accumulator.

My first Smith was a 629-1 6" that I bought new in 1984. Still have it, the box, etc. Bought it to go hog hunting with a handgun. It has popped a bunch of hogs, deer, javelina, etc.

I still have my first Smith & Wesson. It is a Model 53 rescued from a co-work for the sum of $75 back in the mid-1970. It was well worn and abused. He only had four chamber inserts. Even in rough shape it was and is mechanically sound.

It is a blast (no pun intended) to shoot.

Bought a model 64 out of a pawn shop many years ago.

It was 20 or 25 years later, I was bit with the bug and started accumulating.

Still have the 64.
