Do You Still Have The First S&W You Ever Bought?

I still have mine. It is a model 66 no dash four inch barrel that I bought new in 1975 for $225 plus tax.

Had a 629PP and a 625 Classic purchased together in 1998.

They were replaced recently with a nickel 22-4 and a 3.5" nickel pre model 357 both of which I much prefer.

No regrets!

My first S&W was a Model 28 4" Highway Patrolman with holster. In 1967, a fellow was wanting to get a outboard motor for his boat and was selling his S&W and a shotgun to help finance it. I bought both the S&W and the shotgun. I then sold the shotgun and it turned out that I had only $35 invested in that Highway Patrolman and holster!

I have kept it all these years but it was sold a few months ago as age and health are now catching up with me.

Yep. Mine is, I mean was, an 8 3/8" nickel M29-2 I bought new in 1978 when I was 16 years old. After some warranty work due to a barrel issue many years later it looks like this.

Yes I do. A model 66-1 I bought about 1990 or so. I was buying Colt 1911's and Ruger .22's a lot back in those days. I had an Uncle that became a Deputy Sheriff about that time and he was using a S&W 66. After I got to shoot his I knew I had to get one. They were plentiful back then for $200 just about everywhere. I picked this one out of a group of several police trade-ins at a pawn shop. Been in love with it (and Smiths in general) ever since. These are the pachmayr's that came on it at the time, Uncle Bill also gave me a decent set of target grips to put on it. I switch them back and forth when I get the urge but these stay on it most of the time, doing house duty. It has DPD engraved under the grips. I've often wondered which "D" police dept. that was. Denver, Dallas, Detroit,...could have been Daisy, Ky for all I know. But even through some hard times I've hung onto this rascal, let a few Colts and Rugers slip away, but not this one.

Yes sir, still have it. Brand new 19-6 with 6" barrel, a target trigger and hammer. Can't actually remember when I purchased it but it was around 1990. The last of the good uns. Just bought a 625-8, no where near the quality of the 19-6. Won't sell either one.

Back a couple of years ago, when my hair was of a different color, I bought a slightly used model 59 and a new model 27 in 1979 and a model 36 in 1980 and still have all of them. Family happened and extra money ran out , but now that I am retired it is time to go shopping again!!!!

A model 48 that has since departed my possession. It wouldn't fire after 20 rounds. Cleaned and oiled, it could stand another 20 or so. Most exasperating firearm I've ever owned!

Absolutely not. It was a Model 59. Terrible pistol and 9mm to boot. Kept the five revolvers though, Love those.

About 24yrs and 10k rounds ago, I bought his 422 from Seattle Guns (long gone).
Did this last weekend at 50ft, 150 of them were the 422 and none left the sticker.
