Elegant little J frames.

Found this at a local gun shop earlier this summer, with a yellow box of winchester western 32 S&W long and the original blue S&W matching box with paperwork still inside. Not a very good photo, but gun is close to 99%, was only fired a few times, and cleaned, oiled, and kept is a dry place and never handled. Of course, the never fired part has changed, but it is still being cared for. Beautiful Polish job and the blue is stunning in all lighting conditions.

Sorry for the quick and not very flattering photo.

I didn't notice at first, because I hadnt blown the photo up. What you have looks to me like an early Airweight Chiefs Special. It is hard to tell, but looks like it has an alloy frame, and has the upper sideplate retention screw with the locking screw, unless my old eyes are betraying me. There are members like Hondo44 who are experts in these early 'pre model' (in this case, I believe pre model 37) Smiths. Would be nice to see some better pictures, but unless I'm mistaken, that is a fairly hard to come by, early chief airweight.
