Peanuts and Coke... my my. I tried this not two weeks ago for the first time. First sip: "man that's good!" then it got worse and worse. Couldn't finish it. Must be an acquired taste, I found it just terrible.

During my career with the Airlines I worked in their catering division.I had daily access to all the macadamia nuts I could eat.Not so much now that I have to pay for them. :(

Had some hot salted peanuts a while back that I ordered online. They were good!

Had a couple pecan trees and usually would get about 3 5 gallon buckets of nuts. Then sit down while watching the boob tube cracking them. Heard about pecans and butter so grabbed a bunch of shelled nut meat tossed them in a soup bowl and a half stick of salted butter and nuked them. They were great. Lost those two trees due to windstorms and waiting on the other two to start producing some nuts. I used to use a steel pole and punch holes in the ground 3' out from the trunk and 3' apart and sprinkle in some triple 8 fertilizer fertilizer and that seems to go along way to a bumper crop. But Cashews and pistachios will serve just as well. Frank

Reminds me. Hadn't had it in 50 years, but I remember going to the Beacon in Spartanburg and getting pecan pie, hot with butter melted on it. Absolutely amazing.

Not as tasty as other nuts, but the heath benefits are great. Kind of like getting use to raw kale. :)

"Walnuts contain a number of neuroprotective compounds, including vitamin E, folate, melatonin, omega-3 fats, and antioxidants. Research shows walnut consumption may support brain health, including increasing inferential reasoning in young adults."

I don't go this direction, but I believe you went with way too many peanuts. Start small and work up. :D

That's mostly why I put em in Dr. Pepper--I tried em with Coke Cola--just not near the same. Also, peanuts go great with //Big Red--plus another twist--Vanilla Ice Cream in Big Red-or Cima Red (same thing) mmmmmm.

Pecans probably because I'm from Texas. You can put those in a pie also and I won't turn it down. ;)

Pecans.......................................gives me an idea. I wonder if chopped pecans would go well in a Dr. Pepper?????Hmmmmmmmmmmm...................:D

Love:
Pistachios
Almonds
Peanuts
Cashews
Pecans - especially pecan pie

Hate:
Brazil Nuts
Hazelnuts

I don't care much foe Hazel nuts either--acquired taste I guess?

No more: "Schwarz-Braun ist die Hazelnuss" when I listen to music on you tube.
