I have several revolvers I added bearings to.....they last forever so I'm not worried about them at all.
A like-new "refurbished" Model 28 6" I have had some endshake, and it was unfired since the S&W factory refurb. It was "within spec" so I guess S&W left it as is as. It shoots fine, so I see no need to add a bearing. It may be another 10,000+ rounds (if I ever put anything close to that through the gun
) before I have to worry about it.
Endshake isn't an issue if it's not severe........back in "the day" I'm sure many S&W owners didn't even know about endshake and just happily carried and fired their S&W's for their entire life and never had an issue.
