I've tried to be careful through this whole Covid mess and got it from a kid at work who refuses to get vaccinated even though he's had Covid before. The kid called in sick Thursday morning and I started to feel sick yesterday. My test showed negative yesterday, but positive today. I also feel worse today. No New Year's Eve smooches from my wife for me tonight. I just hope we started sanitizing the house in time that she doesn't get it. Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!

I had it last week for Christmas.
At 79 years young I was a bit concerned but got through it with only mild symptoms.
I had the 2 Moderna shots plus 2 boosters.
My wife and 25 year old son also had it for Christmas with my son testing positive first.

That's some bad luck. I take it the COVID has broken through your vaccine as it did for us and many others. Still, the jab should take the edge off it.
Yes, I believe the vaccination makes the difference between having serious problems compared to the cold systems I have now. I just hope my wife doesn't get it. That's been my biggest concern through this whole mess. She's had health issues in the past. She definitively doesn't need this. We've had every vaccination and booster that's been available trying to avoid this.
I have a friend that lost a sister and an uncle to Covid. I have another friend that lost his Father and a cousin, so no matter what some people may say about it, Covid is real and not to be taken lightly.

Prayer from Texas for an uneventful recovery. I have also received all of the boosters upon the advice of my pulmonologist. We will always have this stupid virus with us. Hopefully it will continue weaken as it evolves.

Came back from a 10 day cruise on Dec. 15. Three days late my wife and I both had Covid and so did one other of the 6 of us that sailed. Went to the doctor and his concern were that our lungs were clear and told us to just treat the symptoms. For both of us it was like a head cold and we were over it in about 5 days. My wife and I both had our Moderna shots and one booster. We both refuse to get any more boosters until they stop guessing at their effectiveness.

While we've taken all precautions, my wife and I both got it a week before Thanksgiving. We're maximally vaccinated, though, and it was more of a mild inconvenience than a serious illness. Cough and nose blowing for several days. My flu occasional experiences in the past, while infrequent, have been worse.

Hope you recover quickly, and that your wife remains in the clear.

My wife has it now. Symptoms started Thursday, and it's pretty bad. She's type 1 diabetic so that adds to the challenge. Now I feel like it might be taking hold in me. I'll test tomorrow and see. We're both vaccinated. Happy new year, regardless!

I had covid two years ago. Mild case, got over it....had the two vaccinations, got covid again this past month. Not sure the vaccines are worth it. I got them cause I didn't want to be be "that guy".... .

The friend of mine that lost his Father and cousin had battled Covid himself. He was gone from work for a month and had double pneumonia during the worst of it. He's only 39 years old. He was another one that had refused to get vaccinated.

Had a family dinner on the 25th and now five of the people who went are sick with COVID. I have a mild case so far and plan on becoming a hermit when I get over it. Plus the medication I am taking to Treat it is made by the same company who made all four of the vaccines that I have taken over the past two years. That just doesn't sound right

Mt sisters were both quite sick with it .One claimed to be vaccinated, but I doubt it. My son had it before the vaccine was available, but wasn't too sick. He's still unvaccinated [emoji35].My daughter had a mild case after the 2nd shot last year. I think I had it last Christmas, but I'd had 3 doses by then and it was fairly mild. Get better soon!

I am amazed that unvaccinated people caused your Covid infection. Do you think the vaccine is ineffective? The best treatment is Ivermectin and hydrochloriquine(??).

My last flu shot was in 1972 and no Covid jabs. I have had all the other vaccinations offered especially shingles and pneumonia. I have never had the flu and covid lasted 4 days in the hospital. It is tough being 75 and not worrying about the small stuff.
