Guncontrol

Its really ok to have this obstacles here in sweden , to get true all paperwork to have an own gun.
It could maybe be some quicker office turnaround time.

Looking at this governments almost free immigration to Sweden from all middle east countrys ,latest popular country where "refugees" comes from are Syria )... I,m glad there is some guncontrol right now.

Welcome from New York

I too loved stockholm when I last visited. Too bad it is so difficult to get a handgun license there.

Thanks Delta

Thanks Delta,
its common what I understand that we have sister-citys between USA and Sweden . My small town Lammhult has a sister-city Duluth in Minnesota! They have exchange with junior soccer-teams , every second year either here or Duluth with parents/trainers and juniors .
Your towns sister-city Solleftea is in the upper part of Sweden, short summers and very cold winters.

The state of Minnesota and the town Chicago (Illinois ? ) have been the most popular places for the about 1.5 million Swedish emigrations to USA.... From the end of 1800 to 1920 was the biggest emigrations with approx. 1.5 millions swedes.

I have an very old uncle that immigrated in the late 40:ies , my mother told me that he and his american wife ,when they travel to sweden in the sixties , had candy and clothes to my mother and all her 8 sisters and brothers! My uncle had an Winchester rifle with him once in the early 60:is !

Hello and welcome from Indiana! Glad it isn't as difficult to own a handgun here, that must really be annoying for you Swedes.

Welcome aboard from New Iberia,Louisiana. Love the Swedish rifles and the 6.5x55 cartridge. How hard is it to get whatever you need to buy a rifle there? There was a large amount of Swedish sporting rifles imported a few years ago. I have a Huskquvarna (spelling may not be correct) 146 in 9.3x57 that I bought some years ago. Frank

Welcome from Texas Glenn A. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Always grand to have a new member of the S&W family join in from across the Eastern pond.

Sorry to learn of the hoops you must go through to get your firearm. Governments should believe in liberty.
