I am new to this forum and very happy that it exists.

Last week I purchased my first Smith and Wesson rifle. I am the proud new owner of the M&P 15-22. I am pleased with the way this rifle looks, feels, and shoots.

The rifle is fantastic the way it is....but I plan on customizing it a bit. I'm sure I will have plenty of dumb questions as this is my very first rifle.

I just recently starting shooting this year. I had never owned a gun before (pellet gun doesn't count).

My first gun was a 12 gauge Benelli Supernova with a pistol grip. I love this shotgun! I bought it purely for the purpose of home protection. I took it out to the range to learn how to use it and teach my wife how to use it as well. I love shooting it....she hates it. It kicks like a mule and she doesn't handle it well.

My second gun was a Sig Sauer SP2022 9mm. I also love this gun!! The wife and I can shoot this with no problems at all. I've fired 3000 + rounds with this pistol and never had an issue. Great gun!

My third gun is now the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. I love this gun!!! :D
I know, I know, its just a .22. I don't care, laugh at me. I think this gun is fantastic and I can't wait to start customizing it.

Maybe one of these days I will grow up and graduate to a big boy rifle. For the time being this thing is perfect!!

And a warm welcome from "wild and wonderful " West Virginia at least that's what they tell us.

Don't sell air guns short. They have come a long way. They have them up to .50 now with over 200fpe and if the area permits can take up to deer and feral hogs as shown on the internett inside 50 yards but like anyother firearm and hunting you must practice.
You will enjoy your 15-22 very few complaints about them and very customizable so you can have it your way. Lots of AR parts fit them unlike other brand AR-22's. Once you start shooting you will be happy you have a .22 as they are cheap to shoot.

Welcome from Texas Mudflapps. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Nothing wrong with a little 22 rifle, lots of fun, inexpensive, etc, etc, etc.

Mine is a little Ruger 10-22 that is a ball of fun. Been thinking about a 15-22, need to take action.
