Politically motivated violence with authorities looking the other way for political reasons has happened before.Well, I may not have been around in the early 1960's, but I do know they sent in the freakin National Guard to quell any rioting. I know what happened at Kent State in 1970. So I'd really like to know specific incidents date & loaction of "Politically motivated violence with authorities looking the other way for political reasons has happened before." (your own words quoted in italics)
AFAIK this business of authorities looking the other way, or else providing only a lukewarm and delayed response...is a relatively recent phenomenon. And yeah, I wonder just what that means.
