Hot! And it's only June!

The boys have been tampering with the thermostat. Hence:

My office was 72° all year round. And I found it very comfortable. I wore short sleeve shirts all year. My boss called me Sipowicz.

Yesterday it was blowing 50-60 MPH Fire in the woodstove this morning 40 degrees...Getting to be a 100 tomorrow. Weird.. Right now it's at 70 and the coyotes are howling. Spring lasted 3 days this year...maybe .

We hit the field even earlier this morning. By 0700, I was done-in. Quigley did very well though. He stayed on-point doing his search and rescue drills finding his hidden objects in record time.

When working this early, he can get a little distracted from where foxes and rabbits (or whatever) have left trails during the night. There was a guy jogging and Quigley was tempted to want to chase him. But, he really did well considering the temptations.

It will be a hot one today. Even the sunrise looks hot!

Yesterday at 3pm we were at 93 degrees with a heat index of 105. I was afraid to look at the weather again after that.
Our 10 day forecast says temps over 90 everyday, no mention of rain. This is August weather, not mid June.

Do you own a Sharps 45-70?

Nope, but if my club starts up the Buffalo matches again, I'll be in the market for one.

We do some pretty impressive bench rimfire matches though. That's Quigley's favorite.

After all those years of working outside, having to clear my driveway of snow just so I could get to work, not being able to do anything outside for almost half the year, I've enjoyed as much winter as I can stand.

I just have to convince my wife to move.

Had my fill, paid my dues.
