How long did it take to get your CCW

Depends on the number of applications. Here in my county took around 2 weeks.

I applied in Norwich, CT. Took about 3 weeks for my local (temp) permit and then 30 minutes at the trooper barracks for my 5 year. Connecticut is a somewhat murky meaning of shall issue and they have 8 weeks from application time to approval/denial.

EDIT: I did find out that despite technically still being a resident of NY (active duty) because both parents are deceased and there is no longer a physical address related to my residency I can't get a permit for NY. Lame.

Just received clearance from Illinois State Police today. Sent my data in on January 14th.

15 days from application until my permit arrived in the mail in January. Two friends that I work with got theirs about 2 years ago and it took them almost 3 months.

Received my CCW on April 22, 2014. I was surprised.

My only gripe is they used the pic from my driver's license (the most awful pic of me available) despite me submitting a new and, to my eye, better pic.
Yep, despite being a very senior citizen, there is a bit of vanity left. If I show up on the Post Office wall I want a good pic.

In the 90's it took close to 6 months for my license to carry here in Massachusetts. $100 renewal fee and heard that is taking several months now too.

I live in Callaway County, Missouri. I applied at the Sheriff's office on a Thursday and they called and said I could come and pick up my permit the following Thursday.

In southeast kansas received mine in 30 days. Even with having my fingerprints having to be redone 10 days later from working construction

First one in N.J. took about 70 days in 1978 with range cert. prints and recomendation of local Chief, judge approval.

Was surprised WA took only 20-25 days, no tests, just fingerprints.
Renewal took as long as 10 min. for the girl to print it...

North Carolina, Wake county. took about 40 days.
I was told up to 90. My wife and I applied at the same time/got them at the same time.

Oh, and our county just switched to electronic only applications. can be done online from home, or in person at a Kiosk at the Sheriff's dept.

Just got mine back in Feb here in Ga, and received mine in 14 days. My buddy almost passed out. Needless to say he was passed as it took 3-4 months for his.
