How many trick or treaters do you have?

I quit counting after 100----all i know is we had about 6-7lbs of candy and we ran out with about 45 min left i the night...

We probably had 75 - 100. At least half the houses on my street were bah-humbugs hiding in the dark.

same here,,,we had less than half as many as last year,,houses on both sides and across the street didnt do anything..hey when i was a kid, and our kids were young, people gave treats so i figure what the heck its just one night yah know!

AMEN!!!!

Halloween died in my neighborhood years ago. Few kids come around...those that do come in cars.

In my neighborhood, it is not a good idea to A) go out at night; B) go out to strangers at the fence. When I go to the door after dark for a knock, I take "precautions" (usually of the M28-2 or Browning High Power kind)

Welcome to life in the 21st century in suburban America

UPDATE: Had none...zip...nada...whatsoever in my neighborhood last night. We did have some knucklehead who was firing his AK, though....might have had something to do with it.

Guy fired magazine after magazine...fool kept me awake with all the noise.

None at our house, very few kids in our neighborhood and there are no sidewalks, heavily wooded area compared to the new subs and guess they go to the newer ones.

Seems pretty obvious that it is a case by case situation...varying from 0 to several hundred. Lots of factors I guess such as rural or urban, number of kids in the neighborhood, safety factors, parental involvement, etc.

I think it is a good tradition to perpetuate as long as it can safely be done, so I commend those who have participants and I encourage you to support it. For those of us that it seems to have passed, a little sadness.

I agree it is a great Holiday, it is sad what has been done to it, our neighborhood has Trunk or Treat everyone gathers at the club house parking lot opens their trunks and distributes candy, they have about 200 kids, then they have hay rides all the grand kids come out here as it is safe and lots of family fun.

Normally we have a steady flow of kids from before the sun sets until about 9P. Last night the bell didn't ring until almost 7:30. A slow trickle of kids, and when I went around with mine there were very few kids out and about. Also observed a lot of darkened homes, not sure how many were laying low or how many were forclosed on.

We have a bunch of candy left today. Good thing I don't really eat candy and the kids are happy.

None. I suppose it might have different had I removed the gibbet before dusk. I'm not often home on Halloween --- usually off hunting or some such --- but the number of kids has steadily dwindled to the point where it now can't dwindle any further...

My wife keeps count. 118. Down this year; last year we had 130+.
Give out better candy and they will come .......back !!!!!!!LOL!
We had 7, normal count is 25 to 30.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^LOL!
J/K ,
we have a steady flow for about 3hrs then the slow pokes or older kids for a few more hours .I'd ghostamate about 400 . Good Times !LOL
Hang in the driveway with a fire and enjoy .

For Years we did a community Haunted House, then quit-at the urging of my Grandson (who is 7), and the Wife :( , I got hornswaggled into doing one again this Year, although the deal was that I got to throw away most of the Haunted House Props and stuff (so I wouldn't have to do it again!):D

Anyway, I spent 2 1/2 Months making Props/electical/pneumatics/etc. and getting ready, and then took the last week off and went for it-it was the best one (actually had to shut it down a few times to help some people out that were frozen with fright and some other good stories), but overall it was a good time-glad it's over though!

We ran it from 6-10 p.m., had about 350 come through. A lot of people were sad that this was the last Year, and told us we should charge admission-

Had around 60, usually have well over 100-150. It fluctuates. People didn't bring in kids from other blocks this year. Many people on our block did not give out candy. Bummer.
