I Am 75

Happy D-day, funny how when you look back on it you never expected or even thought about aging then all of a sudden you look in the mirror! Congrats on a long marriage as well, that is becoming rarer and rare these days!

I was trained as an MP at Fort Gordon. My first day in country, a soldier from HQ's showed up at the 90th repo depo to deal with about 20 of us who flew over together. He asked me if I could type and I said I did a lot of typing in college.

I ended up staying in HHQ and working in the S2. I got a Top Secret clearance and typed lots of reports and such. I went to the CG's briefing every morning and pointed out on the maps the areas the briefers were talking about. It was 12 hour days, 6 days a week but it made the time pass and it was interesting and I got to sleep in a bed and eat in a mess hall. I worked nights one week and days the next. That made it hard to adjust your sleep schedule.

Happy Birthday Max.
I trust you enjoyed your days with the 18th MPs.
