I do not like being sick

I went to the doctor today. He listened to my symptoms, took a swab for flu, poked and proded me, went out, came back a few minutes later and said it wasn't the flu.

So what do you think it is?

I'm not sure, but it sounds like either West Nile Virus, or Spotted Tick fever. Do you get out in the woods much? Of course, on the other hand, it could just be a cold.

Uhhhh Doc. I live back in the woods. I work at a campground. I'm "in the woods" all the time.

Been bit by a tick or a mosquito lately?

Huh? Who knows. Kinda late in the year for them isn't it?

Not really. It's been fairly warm up untl the last few days. Incubation for both of those can be two to three weeks.

He gave me some meds and said to let it ride for a few more days and see if I got any better. If not, I'm to get my butt to a hospital.

Hope you and C Bass get to feelin better.

Once you guys are outta the woods, talk to your Dr about the pneumonia vaccine. It's a one time deal, not like the flu shot.

I got it 5 years ago. And so far so good.

GEEZ, that's rough! I hope the meds work perfect.
Sooner you're better, the better for us. Can't have you
laid-up for Any amount of time. I'll be saying a prayer
for you. TACC1

Thanks for the well wishes, but I woke up this morning feeling much better. We'll have to see as the day goes on if I stay that way.

I crawled in the rack about 7:30 last evening, and was out like a light before 8:00. I woke up one time during the night, stumbled to the bathroom, thinking "it must be time to get up by now." When I went back and looked at the clock, it was

11:30. :D

Wow! Hope you feel better soon. Drinking lots of water daily along with Vitamin C which contains acerola cherry(solaray brand at the vitamin shoppe) keeps me healthy. Also avoiding sweets when you're starting to feel run down helps. Take care.

Well, I just spoke with my physician. I won't be discharged until Wednesday most likely. My white cell count is back up. We are making adjustments and dealing with the side effects of the other medications.

I am going stir crazy. I want this fixed and I want it fixed now! Sigh, once again I don't get my way.

I just to go home

Any ideas on where you picked up the bug and why it struck you down so quickly?

Going stir crazy is often a sign that you are getting better.:)
