I guess these dang things are good for us but I can't say that I love 'em a whole lot. What I'm talkin' about is that you don't always know, when you first wake up in the morning, what you are going to be doing that day, even if you thought you had it all planned out.
I thought I was gonna spend the afternoon going out to the woodlands and getting my new hearing aids tweaked and visiting with all those cute young audio techs. It's a very pleasant experience and the hearing aids are great but just need some very minor tweakin'.
I experienced a most unpleasant situation at breakfast (I'll spare you the gory details) and Miss Pam quite vigorously insisted that I call our gastroenterologist and get in ASAP. I called and they were kind enough to work me in at 1:00PM. After much Q&A and a quick check back at my history with that office I wound up with an appointment for one week from today to get scoped both high and low.
I'm sitting here looking with complete loathing at my bowel prep kit. Actully I'm a year over due for this but I don't like for it to come up on me all of a sudden like this. I need a little time to let it eat on me before I can accept it with grace.
I've already said good bye to caffeine and alcohol for a while. Probably a LONG while this time. They found some ulcers and polyps 4 years ago and took me off all my happy drinks then but I kinda slid back in to 'em over time. Thought I was gettin' away with it.
I do like all the nurses there though. And the anesthesia they use there is really good! I hope I get the same nurse I had last time that put the IV in me. I asked her to marry me at one point. She declined but I believe it was because Miss Pam was standing right there looking at the love-struck expression on my face. If I can catch her alone this time I'll betcha she says yes.
Anyway I expect to be out of commission for a day or two but I WILL be back asap. In the mean time I'm just gonna sit here and pout!
