I´m not only a S&W fan but a photographer...

1911 Girl.
Welcome to the forum and a tip of the Ol Stetson to ya from Wyoming.
Wonderful pictures and fascinating scenery.

Don't stop now.

Hi I use a Nikon D60 with a 10-55mm and 50-200mm Nikkor lenses

That's a great do-almost-anything combination. I almost went with Nikon when I rebuilt my photography kit last year. I finally decided to stay with Canon just because I was already familiar with their basic approach to imaging, and at my age anything that flattens a learning curve is advantageous. But I am not one of those fanboys who thinks that the brand I use is intrinsically better than any other manufacturer's products. A high end body and good glass will let anyone with a good eye (which you obviously have) turn out great photographs regardless of the country or company where the basic tools are produced. And the best gear in the world won't help a giftless visualizer generate images worth more than a glance.

Again, nice work.

Great photos! I am going to show these to my son later today. He is 13and has traveled some, but not over there. I pointed out in the other thread that you have that I lived in Rota and my sis was born over there. If you ever get over there and get a chance to take some pics, please post them here. I would appreciate it. I would definitely show them to my sister. She has no recollection of living there as my dad was in the Navy and we moved a short while later. Her birth certificate is like a work of art. It is nothing like you see here in the US. Anyhow- great pics, love the camo, and I hope you can get your 1911. FWIW- I have 4 and 3 of them are Colts including a blue national match gold cup. Happy hunting and be safe!:)

 Don't mean to bust your rear, but Nikon doesn't make a 50-200mm

Thanks!

Maybe she meant this: Amazon.com : Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR [Vibration Reduction] Nikkor Zoom Lens : Camera Lenses : Camera & Photo@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51TeYruERcL.@@AMEPARAM@@51TeYruERcL

I can agree with her that typos are very easy on an iPad since it does not have a keyboard but uses the touchscreen.

If folks jumped me for every typo that I made, they would be busy wasting their time.

Welllllll!-Since we are on the Smith Wesson Forum!:D:D do you shoot revolvers as well?:) K22s, 38 specials, 44 specials? Just curious!:)
Ed

I have shot a S&W .38 wheel gun before, liked it. My fiance is really into revolvers (Spanish seem to have a love affair with them)

:)

Great photos. Hope the bunny tasted good.

My wife and I are going to Scotland for our 25th anniversary this year.. Edinburgh, castles, distilleries, lochs, highland games. Looks great.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your work ... I too love photography and appreciate the effort it takes to produce attractive shots. It looks like you've been in some wonderful spots and have captured the essence well. I look forward to more from you. Keep up the good works.

Heres a cell phone pic for anyone who doubts me.

Mistakes do happen and I hate iPad´s.

I am a sincere and honest person.

Cheers.

I was going to ask about your camera, but this frame answers the question. Lovely photo shots young lady. I obviously like your name also.

Best of Luck in your travels.

Welcome and many thanks for posting these beautiful photographs. Spain is a country that I had missed in my travels. How about some photographs of the beautiful cathedrals that I have always wanted to visit?

Welcome aboard, and thanks for the great threads you're posting.
Scotland and Spain certainly look beautiful.

Don't let the internet 'noise' get to ya. ;)

I see you shooting your bow, so you're left handed? I ask because my youngest son is left handed and I'm not. He became an avid shooter/hunter, and cost me lots of money hunting left hand shotguns and rifles when he was growing up. :D

Photographer/Shooter

1911 Girl you have a wonderful eye for composition and good use of light and exposure, get out there and shoot some more. Don't get tangled up in what is the next best thing i can get to improve my photography. It is apparent that you have very good skills with a good Nikon camera. Stick with Nikon, IMHO they are the best.

As you may guess by my Forum Name "cameraman 2" I am also a photographer. I have worked in the Washington DC area as a press photog for 25+ years, for several different agencies. AP, Sygma, Corbis-Sygma, WPN. I have worked the Whitehouse, Capitol Hill, and all the .GOV departments. What i still find interesting after all these years how many shooters are photographers, with many different skill levels under their belt. I shoot the Nikon system, starting with an original Nikon F up to the current D4. I think Nikon still makes the best glass of all the Japanese vendors. I have a couple of Leica's that i still shoot from time to time just for fun.

1911 Girl keep shooting and have fun doing it.

Absolutely wonderful stuff!

Scotland and Spain are two of the most beautiful and culturally interesting places in the world. If I get to a point where I can travel much, those are the two countries I most want to see. My lottery dream is shooting partridge in both of those countries! Well, that and a McKay-Brown shotgun to do it with.

Welcome to the board! I (we) are looking forward to more pictures and threads from you!

Nixe photo's, one thing though (the owl needs more bokeh!)

Hi there, yep I am a lefty. :)

Will try and get some more photos soon everyone, just extremely busy with work, our baby conure and the construction of the house

Great photos 1911 Girl. Since it seems a number of members like to shoot with a camera as well as our firearms I will tell a story about old school photography. Around 10 years ago a friends daughter was up in Boston working on her masters in "new media". She had a class that required photography done with a non digital camera and in black and white to boot. When I heard about the class I broke out my Nikon FE, Nikor lenses and filters I hadn't used in years. I taught her the basics and she aced the class. Much like yourself she has a talent for composition. She has been working at a medical college since getting her first masters degree and they even built her a movie studio. The toys she gets to use are fantastic.
Keep the photos coming as this old man always wanted to visit Spain.
