I Need A Tracking Specialist!!

OK,, Mystery SOLVED!!

It was deer,, dragging their hooves,,

I have never noticed, I guess the deer do not lift their hooves and "TROT" like Budweiser Clydesdale's,,,

Also, this was an area that had 3 inches of solid ice, topped with 2-3 inches of snow.

Possibly the deer were being VERY careful walking?? They were walking on solid ice,,,

One pic shows my size 14 boot,, for scale,,

The deer were walking between two apple trees,,

I will bet it was 4 to 6 kids crossing your lawn shuffling their feet instead of taking steps. I might be old, but there are things I still remember about being a kid in the winter.:D:D

Cross country skis.
Pretty sure of it.
Tried it once, didn't seem to be any kind of improvement over walking.
I assume most make the same determination, thus the rarity of such evidence of the activity
