Thank you

Guy, thank you. Exactly the information desired. I think it will be a great keepsake of my grandfather.

FWIW, I almost bought an identical twin to yours in July.
$299 selling price.
I found it in a gunshop in Ellensburg WA when I was there for a meeting - roughly 200 miles away from home.
The only reason I didn't buy it was that our STUPID waiting period would require me to make a 400 mile round trip to go back & pick it up.
It was either that or pay close to $100 for shipping and a second FFL fee to get it home.
Either option put the price out of the reasonable range for the gun IMO.
But as others have said, if it belonged to your grandpa, the value would be priceless IMO. I'd happily pay 3x the "market" value to have one of my grandpa's guns.

I also have my paternal grandfather's .32 Regulation Police. It is a few years newer than yours, made in 1924.

great little guns

Welcome to the Forum from Virginia!

Your 32 Hand Ejector looks to be in great condition. Mine is serial number 514771 and shipped in December 1939 per Dr. Roy Jinks, the S&W Historian.

Do not forget to clean your 32 Hand Ejector right after shooting with nitro-solvent per the factory instruction sheet that was in the original box your grandpaps gun shipped in way back when:D

Enjoy it, they are fun to shoot and I agree with Wiregrass value estimate $300 maybe more if you have the box and docs. I gave $400 for mine to a couple who had no gun knowledge and just wanted it out of the house after inheriting it. On my way out, they gave me a box of modern (circa 1978) ammo with exactly one round missing which according to family lore was ever fired through the gun, grandad bought it, never used it, son got it on his grandads passing, son bought 1 box of ammo fired one round, cleaned it, put it away and his daughter got it on his passing.

I am having one heck of a lot of fun shooting rounds through this old wheel gun, trying to make up for a whole lifetime of sitting forgotten in a sock drawer.:D

Enjoy yours, especially in grandad's memory. Like said priceless!

And I still have the Jay Scott faux stags from your grandfather's gun that you loaned me for my project RP while I fruitlessly continue to look for some real pearlies...:o...Ben

OP your gun looks to be in nice condition. looks to have been reblued some time in the past. The strain screw, in the lower front of the grip, needs to be screwed in all the way.
