... I would be dead by now.
I have a few egg layer chickens that free range the yard. The coop has a rear access door so I can get the eggs real easy.
Lately I have 2 that have gone broody and insist on sitting on the eggs the others lay.
They havent tried to "peck" at me, And are very gentle,,, But they sure are pissed when I reach under them and swipe the eggs. They seem to do this a couple weeks twice a year.
Well look at the one looking straight at me (camera)

Every creature on the planet has the same cycle.
Just different times and lengths.

Nope,
Nothing wrong at all with those chickens! Except for some buttermilk, flour, salt, pepper. paprika on one, and lot's of onions, celery and carrots for the other couldn't fix.
(I hope you all knew I was just kidding!)
But make sure the buttermilk's at room temperature...

LOL... she's definitely unhappy!

My MIL has a bunch of chickens (over 20) and she lives in a subdivision. The neighbors don't mind though because she hands out yard eggs like crazy. Mmmmmmm... I love going to her house for breakfast!

She was just telling me today that she signed up for a seminar thinking that she might learn something.... she was very disappointed to discover that she knows FAR more about raising chickens than the person giving the seminar.
