I'd like to find some imitation stag or ivory for my Model 10 10-9 round butt. It's my first revolver and I want some vintage looking grips to go with the tapered barrel. Any suggestions on where to find RB or R to SQ conversions?
They might be hard to come by in stag or ivory because of the thickness needed to enclose the straps. You could check with Patrick Grashorn aka 'Executioner' & see what he can do. Or just order his RB and a T grip..... I have a set of N Square Executioners that I just love on my 28-2 and there are many other examples of his work in this thread. I haven't found any target or conversions in imitation either which I thought odd because you can make the mold as thick as needed. Their looks (at least for 'stag') don't hold a candle to real. If you're quick on the draw in the classifieds here you can find Grashorns for about 2x the price of plastic.

If you're looking for wood conversions, Eagle Grips & Ahrends both make some nice ones. There are many others too (trees grow thicker than antlers or tusks) but these are a good place to start.

I realized I hadn't posted the grips yet. 28-2 with some pre-war style 'Ivory' polymer.
