Para Superhawg
Howdy,
If I was down to just one it would be my Superhawg.
This thing is uncharacteristic of Para Ord guns. It works and has not failed one time in several years of heavy use.
It came from the factory a clover-leafer at 25 yards.
It chronos good, I guess due to the 6" barrel.
It would be a bit much to carry concealed but I could if I needed to.
I have shot this gun successfully in Steel plate, Bowling pins, USPSA and PPC.
It is a gun I can pick up and use with faith that it will preform.
This is certainly no recommendation as I was so impressed with this one that I bought another PARA product and it had me pulling my hair out. The hammer and sear pin holes out of spec. You could not find a normal 1911 sear spring that would fit the gun as the slot was cut too low in the rear of the grip.(Or the sear/disconector might have been too high)
It had the same style power extractor of the flawless Superhawg but was unreliable and the nature of it kept me from being able to replace it with a standard ,tuneable 1911 extractor.
Anyway, the Superhawg is staying around and my favorite all around .45
Thanks
Mike
