Thanks, Gents!!!! I went at this very determinedly. Started in 1984 w/purchase of one Numrich re-pro Tommy gun...still have it!!! My wife is a gun & shooting enthusiast, makes it much easier. Her outlook is, "Go ahead & get it, we can always replace the money."!!!!!! I bought 44 machine guns in 1988 alone.......
I am just about done though........in Oct '11, she was going to help a big older farm tractor I was backing up a hill & she ended up under the rear wheel. Lost her lower left leg & the right one was badly crushed. She is finally on a trial prosthesis........not going well as one needs a good supporting leg to properly use a prosthesis. This unending nightmare is finally getting to her, had a small temper fit yesterday in a parking lot, called herself a 'freak show.......' This is a first, I am not sure where this may go............
We are into the hospitals for $1.4m......I have backed way off buying guns..........no more 5$$$$ items for me. This gun collection is her future without me, I am 14 years her senior & you know what that will mean..........her children are usless......
The referrenced Jap gun is a Type 99, an upgraded Type 96, major change is 6.5 to 7.7mm. I like them, have 2 & 2 MG 42s. Right twin gun in the room divider picture w/drum is Jap Air Force Type 100..........in 8Mauser ???...........go figger!!! those folks must have liked confusion!!!
Couple pictures of her shooting..........we have been back since the accident too. PJH
In this one you can see her amputated leg just below her left ear muff. Guy with her stayed there all day, helped her to her stool & put her back into her chair, while I tended guns/reloading/etc..
