Those two mint in the box 10's pictured earlier in this thread would each be $ 795 around here . A run of the mill ,nice shooter grade 10 would be $ 375 - $ 400 . If it's a pinned barrel and mint in the original box , it's an "investment" gun in todays world . Vintage guns in that condition are getting Very hot right now . Yes, they made alot of model 10's , but how many are still mint, in the original box ?
It's like finding a '65 Mustang in a garage . They made a half a million of them , but how many are still mint condition with 2 miles on the odometer ? Collectors go nuts over this stuff, and the world of collectable handguns is really heating up . Ten years from now , we may be looking at prices double or tripple current prices .
Everything made now is plastic, or has a lock , none of that stuff will ever be collectable . Nobody wants to collect state quarters , but those CC Morgan dollars are hot . In the handgun world, if it's a 30+ years old high quality gun (Colt, Ruger, Beretta ,Smith & Wesson, Browning etc.) mint or near mint condition , it's going up in value.
