Is spring here.?

We still have about 2 weeks before the bluebonnets start blooming. They always get here before the end of February.

I already saw them starting to bloom when I was in San Antonio about 10 days ago for a Drs Appt. spring is here Grrrrr......

It's (hard) to "like" this post fully knowing what hot humid days lay right just around the corner and straight ahead.:o:o:o And im speaking of South Tejas.

I absolutely hate Summer. I'm in SW Ohio and I can't stand the hot, muggy days we get here in July and August. It's hard to breathe, and your shirt gets stuck to your sweaty back. I'm sure South Texas is even worse. Right now as I type this, it's 35 degrees and drizzling. TBH I could live with that all year around:D

Here South of Houston it looks like Spring is just about here. I cut the grass, er I mean weeds yesterday and picked up a lot of leaves from the live oaks. flowers and trees are just starting to bud out. We could have another "cold" snap but at this time of year, it wouldn't last long. Now will come the yard work and replacing the stuff that didn't make it through the couple of below freezing days that we had in a row back in January.

I believe so.......we're about to set an all time record of 14 day of straight 80+ temps here in FL. I'm ready for winter again and some cool weather. Oh, we also have 12" of "sand" on all the beaches in the area. :D :D

I hope so looks like the cold temps are mcfizzled.

Sat night snow but it's just a pain now it won't last for long. Maybe a early spring?
Have patiente young Padawan. Spring will arrive in it's due time.:D

I keep saying someone needs to take out that stupid Groundhog...... 50s on Friday....... high 20s and 2-3" of Snow yesterday....... 40s today...... and calling for 70 on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I want a chuck roast for dinner.

The nectarine trees are the first to signal spring is coming atop the mountain here in N Al. They'll be in full bloom by next weekend.

Looks like the garlic survived the brutal single digits....again.

I fished all day Friday and am now sun burned.

The Robins were here last week. I haven't seen them today or yesterday so I guess they're going back north, I wish the rest of the Snowbirds would.

Not many Robins this far South We miss them. Guess there are not enough worms around for them.:)

I used to get them in Broward. My yard there was rich. Up here in St Lucie its sand. They were hanging out in the drainage canal out back, It's really low right now but they were feasting on something back there as well as my usual Snowy Egrets.

No spring here yet. 8'' of snow last night.

So wet it took some branches off of some trees.

We've had a very wet winter. Mostly a lot of rain. I think we are around 3" so far this year.

I figure if we get rid of Colorado our weather would be just fine and dandy. Still below 0 but the sun is getting higher in the sky.

Heh heh,im with you in every word. Its humid outside-cant even sit still without sweating. Were supposed to have thunderstorms come in late today or tomorrow. The only things I like about summer are--uh--oh--uh--well--I guess that Fall is soon to follow and then be followed by Winter. :D South Texas can get mighty miserable much of the time. If it weren't for a breeze most of the time? you'd absolutely fry-and be miserable. I cant see how folks can survive without air conditioner?? I have two units-and during the summer-both run constantly at 65F but never can get cool enough to dip below 76 F.

Last week we had Spring...wore shorts and T shirts, temps mid 80's.

Today our high was 40 and snowing, going down to the 20's tonight. No, it's not Colorado, it's Arizona! Where is the Gore man when we need him??!!

When the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is over then Winter is over.
We never set our Spring garden until after Easter though cause we can always see the "Easter Snap".
In the Texas Hill Country we have this thing called Cedar Fever. Horrible allergies from Mountain Cedar pollen. That season lasts from Thanksgiving until Valentines Day. Once I get past Valentines Day and Cedar Fever I know it won't be long.....Jasmine is blooming this morning too.

It hit 80 degrees here in Pensacola today, way above normal for this time of year. Talked to youngest son in Denver, it was 12 degrees and snowing. Great chili weather at any rate.
